For some reason the card has corrupted. Maybe it's bent or something similar - or it's just an odd problem. Try first to power down and take out the card. Check the contacts for any dirt or similar and clean. Put the card back and try if it works.
If it doesn't work you might still be able to download the pictures to your computer with a card reader
That is a problem that has to do with the Flash...make sure your flash settings are not turned on. If the flash can't find an image...it rotates and usually never finds the image. It's reading in a Flash mode.
My guess is that you have a dust spot in the camera on the mirror. This is not a user fixable ptoblem unless you are very well versed on camera repair. I would take to a camera store and have them clean the mirror.
