It most likely means your xbox has alot of dust of the inside and the dust is slowing down the fans To fix this either open the xbox and clean out all the dust or use a air compressor and use the air to get it out. I've trihe dustfirst and my xbox is running perfect, as for the second im not sure if the air compressor will take out all the dust.
It sounds like your xbox is overheating. Have you used a compressed air spray to blast the dust out of the xbox. Also check the fans to see they are still going. If this continues to overheat you may get a critical problem like the red rings of death.
Check around the 360 for any dust or debree that may have built up.
This could mean your disk is scratched to hell and it needs to be cleaned. If you aren't sure how to do this yourself you can take it to EBGames or Game Stop for a $5.00 fee. It could also mean your Xbox 360 drive is full of dust, or the lens inside needs cleaning.
It could be the inside of the xbox is dusty, or the laser is not aligned properly to read the discs. You could try using a vacuum attachment to clean the vents because dust will cause disc errors, and to let it build up will only cost you more in the future.
It sounds like you have blown air into your disk drive, doing this spreads the dust which can end up over the lens, try a cd cleaning disk, this should remove any dust that has settled on the lens.
One. Make sure the bar code on the band on the inner ring is perfectley clean and dusted. Two blow into the disc drive to make sure there is no dust on the laser. Three, get a professional to look at it such as a person at Game or at Gamestation. Four, try replacing the copy (NOT RECOMMENDED YOU COULD WASTE MONEY)
The possible and most likely culprit is that after a while the inside of your 360 collects alot of dust and that dust builds up inside and on your fan. So I suggest you goto any local Walmart, kMart, Computer Store and purchase a can of that compressed air and use that to blow the dust out. Do not use a regular compressor because condensation builds up inside the compressor and will blow alot of water into your system and if you blow water in your 360 and plug it in you are going to have bigger problems than a noisy fan. The best fix is to actually open the case and clean it out that way. But by doing this you Void your warranty with Microsoft. So that is on you.
