This lens will fit onto any Nikon SLR, analog or digital. It will also fit onto the new Nikon 1 series with the FT-1 adapter.
Be aware that this lens will not autofocus with any camera. You will also lose metering capability with all but the upper-end cameras.

I recently obtained a used Quantaray for Nikon 500mm f8 f/8 Mirror lens. I have a Nikon d3000 and I am not sure how to attach it to my camera.

For Nikon AF and manual focus SLRs. The compatible T Mount System makes it possible to use most any single lens reflex camera in combination with various front camera attachments such as telescopes, mirror lenses and slide duplicators. The T Mount is a metal connector that screws onto the compatible front attachment and allows this combination to be coupled to the SLR camera lens mount.

I can't figure out where the three filters are installed. I have skylight, nd-2x and 4x

The filters attach to the back of the lens. Remove the lens from the camera. Look where the lens fits onto the camera. Inside you'll see the screw threads that match those on the filters.

I want to view construction diagram or a diagram that can explain Reflex mirrir lens for digital slr camera.

Same principle as a reflex telescope- might Wikipedia Schmidt-cassegrain OR reflex telescope for more info. Long glass lenses need a lot of correction for fact that different wavelengths refract at different angles, while those same beams of light bend the same when reflected.

Need a manual for sony 8/500 relex lens

A mirror lens is a specialty lens. It's a huge telephoto, but shrunk by using mirrors (hence the name). It's a fixed F8 aperture, no auto focus. Looking on the web, this seems to be AF but from a number of uses it "hunts" as due to the tiny depth of field. It's for photographing items at least 300 feet away. The depth of field is tiny (area in focus). You may have to to turn off any "program" modes. This lens will work in "auto" mode where the camera chooses the shutter speed. A tripod is almost a must. Since you have a digital camera... go out and try it... just delete the out of focus and blurry ones.

Soligor mirror 500 on Nikon D-80 ????

The D80 is not able to set exposure with non-CPU lenses like your Soligor, so it probably is very far off on the correct exposure. You must operate in Manual mode and choose a shutter speed appropriate for the lighting. Reflex (mirror) lenses have no aperture adjustment, and I'm guessing your Soligor 500mm is probably f/8 like just about every other 500mm reflex. A good starting exposure for a typical sunlit scene would be 4x your ISO setting. For example, at ISO 400 set your shutter speed to 1600.

Vivitar telephoto lense 500mm

Yes and no. If it doesn't come with one, you'll need a T-adapter for Nikon in order to mount the lens (you can get one from Vivitar, as well as from other manufacturers). The lens is not an autofocus lens, so obviously you will have to focus manually. It's also a mirror lens so it has a fixed aperture. It's what Nikon classifies as a non-CPU lens, so you cannot use the D90's exposure meter. You will have to shoot in Manual mode.

Frozen zoom lens

Sounds like there is a misalignment internally. This will probably need to be repaired at a shop.
