Question about Frigidaire Ovens
Its brand new still in box never installed bought in 1996 never got to do the kitchen till now but cannot figure out how it all works, its a self clean, convection oven with a fan, its white serial number NF44401175 model number fsc88w-5, phoned around here can still get parts but nobody has the users guide. THANK YOU
Have you tried the Frigidaire web site. I did a quick search and they seem to have lots of information and user manuals available. Google is also a good place to search for manuals and other information for older appliances.

If you watch the advert for the Nuwave or Flavorwave they set the machine to defrost setting.
Put water in and a bit of washing up liquid and put on for about 10 min.

There is a overload thermostat on the rear of the oven that will have to be replaced.
Self cleaning features are not recommended by most appliance technicians.
Self cleaning causes parts to fail often.

You don't tell the age of the oven... but the convection fan motor bearing is stressed by the heat of the oven.... and over time can cause all sorts of noises.
You may want to place a small amount of WD-40 on the convection fan motor bearing... just to confirm it as the problem/
Best to replace the motor if it is the problem..
