I am trying to find a US or Canadian friend that has and willing to share a copy of the HP Pavilion laptop zv 5316us Recovery Discs,, or HP Pavilion zv 5000 us series computer. If anyone having this model computer and recovery disc i would really and sincerely appreciate a copy of the recovery discs, my name and e mail is as follows,, [email protected], thank you so very much
Fixha sells you nothing, its just chat box free.
and is not HP,why ask here.
good luck finding free disks.
good luck matching exact model, that 's right exact.
and never post email addresses, unless getting SPAM for 1000 years is fun, or safe.
why post here at all, ask real HP>

HP does not sell disks on non-supported PC,s (too old)
so ask them , or find them on ebay, or use craigs list
and post WTB wanted to buy, this is not buy sell forum here at fixya but good luck if you do get offers.
see the 2 links below, that are 2 ,HP recommended 3rd party selles
of install disks.
by the way, if buy disks from random sells, they will be infected.
if XP , x1000 that. idea.....

SOURCE: i have hp pavilion dv6000 i had a problem about recovery manager
Did you attempt to load recovery/factory image from hidden partition and if so did you follow User Manual or Guide re instruvtions? if so there should have been no problems. I would try again though do it slowly and carefully when choosing Options so that you don't change Partitions where the Default Software is.
Was it Alt and F10 buttons when powering up from a Shutdown, i.e Cold Boot?

Is your laptop one that is included in the recall/free warranty repair service? Check it here.... there are a LOT of known issues with those HP laptops!!

Hi,
It looks like you could have a problem here.
Try restoring default settings by:
Opening the Setup Utility by turning on or restarting the computer. While the “Press the ESC key for Startup Menu” message is displayed in the lower-left corner of the screen, press f10.
– or –
Open the Setup Utility by turning on or restarting the computer. While the “Press the ESC key for Startup Menu” message is displayed in the lower-left corner of the screen, press esc. When the Startup Menu is displayed, press f10.
See if that then boots from the hard drive.
If its still the same then the hard drive could have developed a fault.
Another way to recover a system from a hidden recovery partition is to restart the computer and press f11 while the “Press <F11> for recovery” message is displayed on the screen. Then select Recovery Manager.
As for a recovery CD, if HP won't ship you one out then your better off purchasing a Windows install disk.
Regards.

How in the hell does my request have absolutely anything to do with Fix Ya attempting to sell me batteries? Does recovery discand battery have anything in common? Fix Ya is clearly not about helping people but just trying to sell garbage to people like so many others!!!!!!!!! thanks for wasting my time and and your stupidity
