How hard you press the key is important. If you have habit of pressing it very hard, then the key gets damaged & you have no option but to replace the key. Check the battery with multimeter for the correct voltage specified on the battery itself. Run down battery will not allow you to power on the phone. Keep your phone for overnight charge & then check.

You can open the car manually with the key in the lock on the driver's door.. You don't need any battery power to operate the keyed lock manually
Turn the key anti clockwise once (or twice if that does not work). In some vehicles you have to hold the exterior door handle in the open position at the same time as you turn the key in the lock to open the lock manually.
Try a battery pull.
If that doesn't work, try a Hard Reset.
Hard Reset
1. Power off phone
2. Use hardware keyboard
3. Press and hold the 'X' key and Power button until you see a screen with an exclamation point inside a triangle
4. Press and hold the Volume Up key then press the Camera button (I had to do this twice) to get menu screen (Linux back-end becomes VERY apparent here)
5. Using the D-pad, select one of the Wipe options (specifically Wipe Data/Factory Reset)
6. Confirm your selection and wait for it to complete
7. Reboot the device
The power has been turned of before the sale was finished. Make sure it has a new roll of paper in the printer, then turn key to PGM and switch the power off. Hold down the SUBT key while you turn on the power - display will say INITIAL or something similar. Turn key back to R and see if it works.
.Just to be sure, do you know that when you insert your key into either the driver or passenger (front) doors, and turn the key over to the far LEFT (in the process of unlocking the door), and hold the key in that position for more than a second or so, your windows will all roll down?? This is supposed to happen - it is a benefit of owning a VW! It is all described in the owner's manual.
Now the other side of this function, is that if when you get out of the car, and any of the windows are left open (including the sunroof if you have one), inserting your key and turning it over to the far RIGHT (in the process of locking the car), and once holding it there for more for a second or so, will then close all the windows for you. This opening and closing process will only continue for as long you hold the key turned over in the extreme position in either direction. Once you return the key to the center position, the opening and closing will stop. So you just hold it there until the windows are all closed. This option is not available via your keyless remote though - only via the key in the door locks.
It's something I love about the VW design - you can choose to let fresh air into the car before getting in without having to insert your key into the ignition and on the other side, if a window (or the sunroof) is accidentally left open when you've exited the car, you now have the option to close them all without once again inserting your key into ignition and turning it over.
Shut down the computer (complete power off, not restart) Hold down the left button (Apple mouse?) Push the power button Keep holding the mouse button down until it either ejects or the grey pinwheel appears. (It's not an instant process)
Usually, eject/F12 will open the drive up. If that does not work try. Open terminal and use the command "drutil tray eject"
You can also try command-option O + F and type"eject cd"If none of this works your drive may be bad or the power cord is loose. You will need to open it up or seek professional service.
Yes, insure that you have power to the trunk lock inside trunk, If not could be lose/broken wire or shot fuse. I am sure the key fob does work for the doors? If not have key fob battery replaced. Also, a quick check on power to trunk lock, check to see if have remote power button inside car, if it works power is good. Defective key fob would then be indicated.
