My camera shoots too bright images when shooting outdoors. Photos taken indoors appear to have horizontal lines but are much clearer than those taken outdoors. Is the shutter stuck or is it a ccd prob

With the main dial on top of the camera, set it on Auto(magic). When it is in a scene mode, it can't adjust to the right settings.
Use the menu button.
When it is set to Auto and you get the same result, I'm afraid there is another problem. But if the pictures are better, only use a mode you understand. (To start with scene and chose a mode you need)

When pictures are taken outside during the day they are unclear with some white horizontal lines and when taken indoors its ok.tried everything the manual said but still no changes

White shadow or white lines may occur if the light was too bright when you take the picture, especially in strong sun light. Have you turn off the flash light when you taking those picture ? If you haven't, then you should try to turn off your camera flash light manually. And I must remind you not to take a picture with your lens faced the sun light or other light (lamp etc) directly. Even if you take a picture outdoors, try to make your lens shaded by something, you can even use your own shadow to shade them.

Hope this help and be kind to rate please.

Overexposure and horizontal-striped image

Hi!
No, it's not a software problem. The problem is that the shutter doesn't work so it can't control the amount of light taken so the pictures are very bright with horizontal lines. There are usualy two causes - a broken shutter cable inside the lens or the shuuter blades are stuck - may happen if the lens get wet or something adhesive gets in it. It's a hardware problem so I suggest you contact local Canon or other camera service center. It is considered a hard repair so it could get expensive. I don't think it's worth it, so I would suggest you get another camera.

Hope this helps!

Picture taken is so bright and with trasparent horizontal line

If the photo shoot out show white , the obscure (quality variation), and even horizontal line ( white lines), and so on over-exposure cases, even if the use of anti-tremor, set to default values are invalid, because the camera shutter fault.

It's need repair camera machine shutter.

Very Bright Outdoor Photos with lines

The shutter is stuck. The electronic "noise" created by the solenoid trying to move the shutter blades causes the lines on your pictures. The bright outdoor pictures is due to the fact that the shutter is jammed open. You can try tapping the camera on the sides and bottom. This may jar the baldes loose. Failing that, you will have to find a shop that can obtain a replacement lens assembly for your camera.
