SOURCE: When i log on, and windows loads i get a logon.exe

Hi, A Virus or Spyware may have caused this and i recommend a Virus scan. Viruses causes Windows files to fail to start. A Virus has probably configured with logon.exe and has stopped it from working. If your Anti-Virus scan does not work then a Virus has stopped your scan from working and then that means that you will have to reinstall Windows.

I really hope this helps and please let me know on how it goes.

Take care

If the web cam is working normally with other web cam applications but MSN then it's required to configure MSN to use the web cam. Please follow the steps given below to configure MSN to use the web cam.

(i) Please ensure that the web cam is turned ON.
(ii) Then, double click the MSN icon and log on.
(iii) Click on the Tools menu, then click on the audio/video tuning wizard. Then, click Next to start the wizard.
(iv) On the first wizard page, under Camera, click the web cam then click Next.

Performing all the above steps will configure MSN to use with the web cam.
In order to start a video conversation, follow the steps given below after signing in MSN:
(a) Click Action, then point to audio/video.
(b) Then, click start a video conversation.
(c) Select a contact from "My contacts" page then OK.

Web cam

If you are using the Preinstalled Operating System, you should either find QuickPlay or YouCam applications preinstalled in the Notebook..
You can find the instructions to use the webcam with QuickPlay from the link below :
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00865850&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

However, if you are unable to find QuickPlay application in your Notebook, you can try downloading YouCam application which is being shipped with latest HP Notebooks form the link below and install in your Notebook :
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp41501-42000/sp41958.exe

Download and save the file in the Notebook and double click to install after the download is completed.
Find the instructions to check the webcam using YouCam application from the link below :
