The phone has come up with a message saying sim freeze contact service provider i have contacted vodafone and they were unable to help so i was wondering if u would be able to help me thanks

if it is asking a PUK you can refer to this suggestion.
PUK means "personal unlocking key" .
The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.
You need to call your phone service company, they can retrieve the puk code from a database
for free.
In your case you need to contact your SIM card phone provider technical support to unlock the SIM.
The PIN and PUK are related to the SIM card, not to the phone.
If you replace the SIM card with a different one, then the phone should not ask for the PUK anymore.

Phone freeze means you enters the network code 3x wrong
If you have the
original cable for this phone you can power it on without simcard.
Then get an
account for the SRS online server (Unlock Samsung Online -
Samsung Remote Unlock Server EN - Samsung Unlock)
now connect your
phone to the computer, and install the drivers (if needed)
login to the srs
server, select the correct port, and model. Now press direct unlock, and
sit back. (process can take up to 5 hours). After you get
"unlock done" your phone is unlocked, and the phone freeze is repaired.
