Hey Sharon the only way i would imaging to bypass that problem is by getting yourself a multi memory card reader where you take out the memory card and insert it into the card reader and copy all your photos to the PC and then inserting it back into the camera. According some people its not good to use your camera as a card reader. Although it has that function.Hope this helps.

USB COMMUNICATION ERROR!

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as iPhoto.

Fuji Finepix F10 won't mount onto Mac mini OS X

Best use Memory Card Readers, F10 is USB 1.1 so moving data is quite slow specially if you take 6MP photos. Just get a XD card reader whihc is USB 2.0

Communication Error

Try connecting the camera to another computer. Is the camera reading the same error? If not, it's a computer issue.
If the camera is reading the same error, see if there's a way to restore camera back to the factory settings, and try all over again. Good luck :)

Communication error

It would be helpful to know which operating system you have on your iMac. If you are running OS8.6 to OS9.2.2, then you may need to install drivers for the Mac to recognize your camera. If this is not the case, you may new a new connection cable. A work around for this would be to use a memory card reader instead of connecting the camera via a USB cable.
