Its clickimg w/o needle in in hook area. Out of time or? This machine has been a painsince new!

Hm, difficult to diagnose. Usually, when my machine makes a clicking noise, it is the needle striking something. Since that isn't the case with your machine, can only assume it is something else. Sometimes machines will make additional noises when they need some oiling, but that would be determined by the make/model of your machine. Could be the bobbin mechanism clicking. Most sewing machines do need periodic sewing machine oil placed in the shuttle/hook area (use only fresh, good quality sewing machine oil--one or two drops only). Older Pfaff machines are usually well-loved, so it could be something is loose or out of place on yours.

Brothers Electric Sewing Machine Knocking noise

First thing, install a brand new needle. A bent/damaged needle will frequently make noises.

Second, if it is mechanical machine (not computerized), it most likely needs a good cleaning and oiling.

Will not zigzag or decorative stitches New to these newer plastic style...

If it continues to make a knocking noise, it could have a bent part or be out of time, in which case you should contact a service repair shop.

Why does the machine hesitate and make grinding noise?

what kind of grinding noise does it make?

try changing the needle--use a needle that is for the fabric being sewed

look in your sewing machine manual and see if the machine needs to be oiled

also clean in the bobbin area for lint

also check to make sure that the bobbin is inserted correctly

My brother started making a loud noise when sewing pant fabrics

Your machine is complaining because it doesn't have the power to push through the layers of fabric. That clunking noise is the gears in the machine skipping and being sheered off (or it will be eventually) STOP!

If you feel that you need to continue... stop when it does this noise and use the HAND WHEEL. You'll also need to make sure that the presser foot remains level while going over thick seams.

Huskylock viking serger machine is very noisy / squealling; oiled / cleaned machine, changed needles... It gets quieter if I sew fast.

some machine make more noise than others, but to be on the safe side I suggest having the machine check to see if there is something else wrong, it could be something is loose or worn in the machine.

We recently bought a used 301 Singer Sewing machine, it appears to sew well but makes a loud clattering sound, where the needle goes up & down, is this typical for this machine?

If I remember the 301 is an American model slant needle with a gear driven motor, the machines were known as 'Rockets' the noise you can hear is the play in the shaft of the motor which is very common to that model if it is where the noise is coming from, if the noise is coming from the needle area then a drop of oil might do it some good.
