You can view the photos from the camera.
OR
Remove the memory card from the camera and plug it into an USB card reader. Connect the card reader to the USB port on your computer, the computer will see the memory card as an external storage device, open the folders and photos on the memory card and you can copy them to your computer or just view the photos.

Install without CD a Canon 350D

Hi.

If you do not have the original software you will need to download the drivers from the Internet. If you are referring to an EOS 350D, try: Download Canon EOS 350D. or EOS 350D DIGITAL - Canon Download Centre.

If the software is for a different device, start from:Canon Download.

Regards.

I'm looking for software to download the pics from my 350D onto my laptop. I bought the camera second hand with no software

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

There are also plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".

My eos350d is not displaying image for a couple of seconds after taking a photo.

I take it you have checked the menu on the back?
3rd menu, with a blue "play" icon, change the review time from "off" to whatever setting you need.

Date/time issue on Canon EOS 350D

I was wondering the same when I first got my EOS. Learned later that the digital pictures do not have date/time stamp on the front of the photos like film cameras' photos. Details of digital photos are stored digitally in each image file's EXIF.

If you want to print photos showing the date/time, some software including Zoombrowser EX can do that. In Zoombrowser, select the photos you want to print. In Step 2 (Printer & Layout Settings), in the bottom left, you can choose Date and/or Time and even the colour of the font.

Canon 350d

No, the so called 'live view' ( seeing pictures in real time on your LCD monitor ) is available only on the latest models that are coming out now ( Canon D40 and Nikon D3 and D300 have this feature ).
