1999 mercury villager wont transmission wont work once engine is warmed up
How does it work when cold? Like normal? Or are there problems or slippage then too.
As the engine warms up, so does the transmission. As the temp. rises, so does resistance in things like shift solenoids, lock up solenoids, etc. This makes it harder for the computer to make the solenoids work so, this could be the problem. You should have some sort of trouble codes associated with that type of failure. If you have no codes, it may be mechanical. Possibly clutches worn out.
I hope this helps you out.
Good Luck!!!
