The flash on our Fuji Finepix s4000 stopped working about a month after we bought it. We noticed after a while that there was a yellow flash icon with the word "OFF" below it. This was there regardless of whether we turned on the forced flash and we had not seen it before (even the flash was turned off). We assumed the problem was related, but could not find a setting that would turn it off. I finally reset the camera and the icon disappeared, but the flash is still not working. What did change is that now the red light that comes on before the flash is lighting up, but no flash follows. Is it maybe the bulb? If so, how can we replace it. The camera was purchased in August and the flash stopped working in September. Looks like we got a dud.
SOURCE: Memory full
Hi,
As you posted, both cameras have their memory full then you need to free up the internal memory either by deleting the contents or transferring them (the pictures) to your computer.
To transfer to your PC, you would need the installer/driver CD that came with the cam as well as a USB cable. You need to run/install FinePix Viewer prior to the USB connection. Follow on screen instructions. When asked to connect the cam do so. All others are explained with illustrations on the User's Manual. A copy od the A700 User's Manual is available here.
Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.

SOURCE: fuji finepix a400 focus error
Hi
I have the same camera and have devised this solution. Remove batteries, leave for about 10 mins then replace batteries ( make sure they are in good condition, Cover the aperture whilst switching it on and it should work - mine did on the 2nd attempt.
Good Luck
