go to Device Manager and check all hardwares there...there will be webcam listed there try updating the driver...if not listed...then select any device there and chose the Computer Icon on the top...to update the "Scan for Hardware Changes"
if u get a Cam there listed there with any yellow ? or ! amrk chose it and update the driver...
it should be ok now...

SOURCE: Cant Find Webcam.

Right click my computer>properties?>hardware >device manager> right click again>scan for new hardware. This should help you find your camera.

Or Control panel> add new hardware>follow the steps

try this it sometimes works. 1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe). START > RUN > (Type) REGEDIT (and hit ENTER) 2. Locate the UpperFilters and LowerFilters value under the following key in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC708002BE2092F} Write down the upper & lower filter valuse. Delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters value (it's safe, and if could be restored later on if you have written it down, so don't worry)

I have an acer aspire 5100 with a built in webcam and by mistake i uninstalled the driver for the webcam, i found the driver on the acer website and downloaded and installed it.Itr said the installation...

You will have a software called Acer Crystal Eye Webcam in your all programs.
Use that.
If you don't have that, get it from the Acer website.

How do I enable the webcam on the Acer Aspire 5050-3205 with Windows 7?

In windows 7 you do not need to enable a built in CAM, all supporting software's (Skype, Y messenger) will automatically detect the webcam and make it available for use.
if you want the built-in CAM to take picture's you should install the CAM software found in the CD's that came with the Laptop.

Is the webcam found in the device manager? If it is not check to make sure that it is enabled in the BIOS.

if ur drivers are updated from www.acer.com then u should look into settings of yahoo messenger and select and test ur camera but these settings will only work when u are online try if it helps check ur camera if it works somewhere else

Hovering the cursor causes unexpected and unwanted openings closings and activations. Can this 'facility' be switched off? It occurs in both Windows 7 and Ubuntu, so it would appear to be non-platform specific. I cannot connect to the internet. I've had my Acer Aspire One netbook for about a year and this has never been a problem before. Then for some reason this morning, it just decided to stop connecting to the internet. It said it the signal strength was 'excellent' but the status was 'limited or no connectivity'. I think it's important to mention that there are two other laptops in the house which haven't had any problems at all connecting to the internet. I haven't downloaded anything and I wasn't on any websites that I don't use regularly, plus I also had anti-virus protection so I don't think it was a virus. Anyway, after trying most of the day to get a connection with no luck, I decided to restore the factory settings. This hasn't helped- I still got the same message. I fiddled around a bit with thesettings by following other posts with the same problem (such as trying start, run, 'cmd', enter, congigip /renew and other various tips) but the only development I've made is that it now says 'Signal Strength: Excellent, Status: Connected'. However, when I click on Internet Explorer, it just says 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage'. I've made sure the 'work offline' is unticked and also that in internet options, under the connections tab, LAN settings is set to Automatically Detect Settings. I have no idea what to donext. I'm a dummy when it comes to anything technical but would be grateful for any help you can give me- although please put it in terms that someone with basic computer knowledge would understand so that I can follow it. Please help before I tear my hair out!!!
