How do you unlock the DVD region program for the Audiovox D1788? We've recently reurned from Europe and our DVDs won't play.

Enter the Menu screen, select, preference, select default, and OK.
If the problem is with password forgot, the default passord of this unit is [ 3308]. Enter this password on the first screen. Sometimes the unit won't accept this passord for the first time to cheat you, enter this pasword again. After that, you can enter your own passord. OK.

Found the solution: 1) Open disc tray; 2) (with remote) Press: Setup; 3) Press: Right, Right, Right; 4) Enter 9, 6, 5, 3; 5) Enter 0 (or select a region) 6) Press: Setup
