Can't select correct song

When I scroll through songs and hit select, my e260 starts playing a totally different song. Usually it starts up with one that is 4 or 5 below it in the "All Songs" selection list. It's driving me crazy.
Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Can not play music from the ipod dock, can see the songs but it will not play. HT-C6600

I have had problem with the unit freezing up. To resolve this, I remove the ipod from the dock
be sure a song is playing on the ipod; replace it into the dock; when the message - no disk - appears, then press the red "A" button to select ipod. That brings up song list and hitting the center SELECT botton on the remote, it plays the song correctly.

HOWEVER, if I hit the return button in the middle of play, I cannot go back and play a different song. The unit freezes on STOP. Or if I wait until the end and go back to the song list, then it starts to play the next song with no sound. When this happens the display on the unit flashes "MUSIC" / (play time), repeatedly.

The Samsung help-line thinks this is a problem with the iPod dock and are sending me a new dock. But I don't think that is where the problem is. I think the HT-C6600 is defective.

"Bad Track" Messages on e260

You have songs that may be protected or the wrong format for your device.
delete the bad song and download another copy from a different source and try it.
This is not to uncommon due to different file formats and protection in the song files
When you rip songs from another device often some won't load or play in another device
especially if they are paid for songs.

80G Ipod Classic skips songs

Try converting the songs into a different format because the format that the song is in might not completely be played on the ipod. Right click on the song and click on convert to mp3. Then try transferring the mp3 format song onto the ipod and it should play right then.

Sansa e260 How to delete songs ?

This MIGHT fix the problem: Make sure that Windows Explorer is set to show hidden files and folders. In Windows XP, click TOOLS, FOLDER OPTIONS, VIEW and make sure you have selected "Show hidden files and folders".

Selecting a song

Sounds to me like you have a corrupt database. I had exactly the same problem and the only thing to do is format your player. This does seem to be common problem from what I have read on the internet. Go to Sandisk's site and download the firmware updater also.

Mp3 problems

Make sure that the mp3's that you upload in the phone are in the correct folder, moreover make sure that the folder itself is named correctly otherwise the phone won't recognize it and might just ignore.
