Water/Supply hose doesn't fit

I purchased a new grip/trigger handle, but now my original supply hose fitting doesn't fit the new handle. It appears that the thread size and I.D. are different and things don't line-up/fit. Does anyone know if I can adapt the original hose to the new handle? Is there a fitting I can purchase that can replace the one on the hose now?

SOURCE: Water leaks where the hose connects to the trigger handle.

Be sure to get a good washer on with the connection. They're easy to buy at any hardware store. You can also put white plumbing tape around the threads before screwing them in to make it really fit.

SOURCE: Bissell Proheat only sprays for a few seconds.

When was the last time you changed the flat belt? Even if it isn't broken it could be so stretched out that when the brush hits the floor it slows or stops the pump from spraying. If its a new belt then and your sure there arent any clog's that usually means the pump is bad. Also if youve ever used anything other than bissell shampoo in the machine it could have ruined the pump as well.

I went to OSH hardware. I unscrewed and took the portion of the faucet- that the hose from the steam cleaner was to fit into and I took the hose right into the store. I just bought my unit at the thrift store. Works great. I love it!

The hand grip of my Hoover FH50026 does not work. I press the handle grip, but no liquid goes out

It may be the trigger inside the handle is broken. The trigger pushes a rod that goes down to the valve at the bottom of the fresh water tank to allow the water to flow out.

Hi there! Below are step-by-step instruction to assembling the hose to the cleaner so that you may use the attachments. I have also included a link to the instruction manual which gives instructions and illustrations as well. Hope this helps!
1. Put cleaner in its upright position. Connect the upholstery attachment to the trigger adaptor.
2. Remove the dirty water tank door.
3. Insert the hose adaptor into the dirty water tank.
4. Connect the base water supply connector into the fitting on the lower left side of handle facing cleaner. You are now ready to do above floor cleaning!

Vax co uk support

There are a number of possibilities. I have this appliance and I'm not a fan of it!

  1. Check the water filter isn't void, which is behind the main water tank at the front. It should have a sandy colour to it and if it is low or discoloured, then it requires to be replaced.
  2. Fill the water tank with water and the back tank (if fitted) with clear "white" vinegar and switch on. If there is only one tank fill half with water and vinegar. Then press the trigger on the handle. If nothing comes out, You will need to buy a new water limescale filter which can be purchased from Vax UK.

Clean water and solution will not dispense

This is an unusual problem. The most likely reason is that the supports inside the upper handle grip have broken, and when you squeeze the trigger, the rod that opens the reservoir assembly is not pushing open the valve. If you remove the upper tank, and look behind it, you should be able to see the end of the actuating rod sitting on top of a rubber valve assembly. Squeeze the trigger and watch the rod to see if it pushes down on the valve. If it doesn't, the upper handle grip will likely need replacement. If it does push down on the rubber seal, the reservoir assembly has probably failed and may need replacement.

My Tobi Platinum clothes steamer gets hot at the handle making it too hot to hold and steam with??

We had the same problem but discovered it was because the steam hose had come adrift from it's fitting inside the handle. Dismantling the handle, re-attach the hose, re-assemble the handle and use some tie grips to hold the very poor design together and the problem was solved.

I have a dyson dc 07 how on earth do i connect the flexible hose for cleasning the the stairs to the machine

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

I am not clear from your question as to whether you have purchased a replacement hose and need to know how to fit it or you are asking how you use the hose to vacuum?

If you are trying to fit a new hose, with the old one removed, simply line up the large plastic cuff on the base of the hose (this is the one with the cable tidy) and push it downwards into the slot at the base of the main body until it clicks into place. You can then insert the wand handle back in and store it on the machine.

If you would like to know how to to use the wand/hose, simply press the wand catch on the front of the wand handle just above the main carrying handle and pull it upwards. You can then splide the hose to the bottom of the metal pipe and press the button on the hose cuff to release the wand handle. The tools fit directly onto the hose cuff for vacuuming the car, your stairs or upholstery.

I hope that this information is useful to you.

Kind regards
Darran

Beam Soft Touch handle electric harness replacement

Set the bottom part of the handle down(not the part that the screws go in)the contact board will fit into slots on the left side of thehandle half, the switch will go where the cutout is for it on the top, the plug is notched to fit at the lower front part of the handle. Then put the the tube into the hose and set it into the handle. There is a ribe near where the tube sticks out of the handle, it fits into a slot just before it sticks out. There also is a stop for the hose to up against so the contact rings can't slip off. Then put the other half on and screw it down.
