My above printer was giving faint printing in the back side and ok printing in the front side of user panel throughout the paper. One technician came and changed the setting and told me that he has kept the back side portion i.e. The left side of the paper, in extreme high position. After that, i am getting left side deep and right side light. I want to make some changes in the setting. I know, how to enter menu by pressing 0 and start and password 6789. After that i dont know how to change the setting by which i can change the left side or make the right side high value. Kindly help me. Regds binay

The ROS is the laser. Believe me you can replace the machine for less than the cost of a laser. The Polygon motor is most likely bad in the laser. I would guess in the $500 range for the laser

First I would suggest performing any head alignment functions with your printer's menu to be sure you have the stepper motor feed adjusted properly. Use the paper you are currently printing on for this procedure so that the thickness of that paper is factored in.
If you stil see the banding after doing this, you can use the Advanced Media Control button under Printer Settings in ColorBurst to fine-tune the paper feed adjustment. Print out the "Media Advance.tif" target (located in the ColorBurst/images & Targets folder) to use as a guide. For white bands, you'll need to enter a negative number (to shorten the paper feed).

I called Xerox and they had to send a tech to reset the password back to factory. The factory set is username x-admin and password 11111.

Go to the printer in your printer folder in control panel. Right click on it and select properties. Then select the last tab named "Printer" and click "Get information from printer button". Hope it helps you.. works for me.
SOURCE: Yellow light on Toner light on) Cannot print a thing
take out the toner.. at the left side of the toner, there is a level, unscrew the 3 screws and turn the level to the other side, this will reset your toner.
make sure the printer is on when you put back the toner.
