Question about Electrical Supplies
The sparkplug in the generator simply says LPG GREEN POWER..it has no numbers. Buffalo tools wants $6.00 for a plug with $7.00 shipping. Does anyone know what sparkplug works for the SPORTSMAN GEN7000LP Propane Generator?
Take the plug out and go to Home Depot. Buffalo Tools makes that unit and Home Depot is a seller

While propane and natural are similar, some devices require changes to properly operate on the selected fuel.
Information about this should be in the owners manual for the unit.
An off the cuff guess is that the gas pressure from the NG source isn't high enough, or that there is a gas regulatior on the generator that would need to be adjusted for NG.

SOURCE: need to know battery ttype
Some of these are delivered with gel cell type batteries. They are often undersized and have limited starting capability.
Frankly the best way I have found is to MEASURE the maximum size fo the battery and note the terminal type. The go to the NAPA site and check the dimensiona to find the biggest battery you can fit in... usually a motorcycle type. Usually you need one that has lugs with holes to use bolts to attach the wires.

SOURCE: WHO MANUFACTURES THE ENGINE FOR
There have been several factories in china that have made the motors used on buffalo generators, a couple of these are Lifan and J.D. as in Jiangdong. All of these motors are very similar to honda motors. The 6.5,13,and 15 h.p. motors are real brutes and hold up very well.
