I have a Polycom SoundPoint 331 phone and accidentally turned on my outgoing caller ID block by dialing #65. How can I turn this off, so my number is visible to the people I am calling?

I accidentally dialed #65, instead of #62 when trying to access my vmail box, which turned on my outgoing caller ID block. I want the people I'm calling to know it is me, but can't find any information on how to turn the block off. When I try dialing #65 again, it gives me a confirmation that caller ID block is ON. What is the number combo to turn it off??

As you have probably found, SIP phones are not supported until R5, which just came out.

SOURCE: what is the default password for Polycom

Default Passwords:
To get into the web interface, the default username/password is "Polycom"/"456" (Note that this does not work with Safari 1.2.2.)
To get into the Admin interface on the hard phone, the password is "456". (Prior to v1.3.1, the web interfaces to the phone uses "Polycom"/"SpIp" as the username/password.)
The "user password" (not used much) defaults to "123".

To reset a lost admin password to default: at phone boot, during the 5 second countdown, push/hold 468* on the phone. Enter the phone's MAC address as the password. This will reset network info but keep peers loaded. Tested on Soundpoint IP 650.

Testimonial: "Thanx a lot. Although I had managed to find the password for console but the web interface password was still missing. :-)"

SOURCE: i am unable to push the configuration files into polycom soundpoint ip 330 through tftpd

This means the phone's SIP application has been erased. You will need to download the SIP app and BootROM from the Polycom support page, host the files on a boot server, and then point the phone to this server from the server menu so the phone will reboot and download the files.

SOURCE: Polycom SoundPoint 550-Only Showing 1 line

On the phone, press the menu button, then status, then IP status or whatever and get the phone's IP address. Write the ip address down. On your computer, open up a web browser and input the phone's IP address into the address bar and press enter. This should arrive you at the web gui for that phone. It'll probably ask you for login credentials; by default, the name is "Polycom" (yes , it is case-sensetive) and the password is 456. Once you are logged in, you should see several links like "General" "Network" "Sip" and "Lines". click on Lines. under "line 1", you will see the configuration for that line. simply duplicate the entries for lines 2, 3, and 4.

I have activated the caller id block for my outgoing calls. How do I reverse this process so that my number shows up to the people that I call?

The procedure depends on your phone company, not on your phone. With some phone companies, for example, dialing *82 before dialing the phone number will deactivate caller ID blocking for this call.
Please contact your phone company for full instructions.

How do i block my number on an outgoing phone call?

i found the answer at http://support.sprint.com/support/article/Block_your_Caller_ID_on_your_outgoing_calls/case-wh164052-20100907-100732?&INTNAV=SU:SP:HDIB

Last Updated: Sep 08, 2010You can block your Caller ID information (name and phone number) on a call-by-call basis. Just dial *67 before dialing the number you're calling, and your information will not show up on their Caller ID display.you can also go to http://support.sprint.com/support/article/Know_the_difference_between_restrict_and_block_on_Caller_ID/case-wh164052-20100907-101149?&INTNAV=SU:SP:HDILast Updated: Sep 08, 2010Restrict Caller ID is a restriction that is placed on your account to completely block your information (name and phone number) from being displayed on any call you make. This has to be done by contacting our Customer Care team.Block Caller ID is something you can do yourself directly on your phone by dialing *67 before the number you're calling. This only affects one call at a time, so you have to dial the code before every call you want to block your Caller ID.**************i did some research and found the answer, please provide me with FAIR feed back i.e. 3 or 4 thumbs up. according to sprints website and also htc support forum there is no way to block the caller id automatically. dont kill the messanger i just wanted to pass the info found on htc and through sprint.

Polycom SE225: my verizon line provide caller id does not displa

Due to the age of the SoundPoint Pro, it some of its features are not compatible with newer phonesystems, such as CableVision. There are no software updates for the SoundPoint Pro, and as long as the Caller ID is enabled there are no other settings or adjustments that can be made to workaround these kind of problems unfortunately. I recommend contacting your service provider to see what kind of caller ID signaling they are using; most likely they will be using a newer digital system, or MDMF which is not backwards compatible with SDMF or earlier CID receivers.

Describe your AT&T Blackberry

There are 2 places this can be set, and with AT&T, it tends to be set at the network level. Meaning to turn it off, you have to call them and request that they disable caller ID block on outgoing calls.

Polycom Soundpoint IP 501 - URL call is disabled

This in it's most basic description means that the phone is unable to register with the SIP server, most likely for lack of internet connectivity or a firewall blocking the packets.

If you've verified connectivity and opened the proper ports and the phone fails to initialize and still getting “URL Call Disabled” or all of the above parameters are correct, update the firmware for the router. This can usually be done within the router configuration. Then reboot in order, the cable modem or DSL, the router or switch, then the phone. This may solve the problem.

If still having the same issue, confirm in the router configuration for settings such as SIP proxy, gateway, or application layer or any configuration setting for SIP or VOIP. If any of these do exist, make sure they are turned off as these may only confuse or adversely affect many implementations.

For incoming calls, the caller cannot hear me for 2-10 seconds after I pick up

You've got an IP issue somewhere in your setup. It sounds like the call is being lost and then the phone is querying the DNS server to find out where it should be looking for the call. Do you have a VOIP server name or it's IP address in the setup? Are you using DHCP or manually assigning IP addresses? If the VOIP server is not on a static IP, I would fix that first. Post back here the answers and we can look at it further.
