Need service manual for GE Profile PDS20MBWAWW fridge

My fridge has started acted strangely lately. It seems to run all the time and both of the front sides of the bottom freezer are very hot, almost burning to the touch. I hope the service manual could help me figure out the problem. At least it would show me where everything is located inside. Thanks

Clean condenser behind back panel, use a squirt bottle with warm water squirt from top to bottom, should allow it to cycle and not be so hot.

I could not find a service manual (compared to user manual) ... but this link may help:
GE Refrigerator Repair General Electric Refrigerator Repair

Since your unit "seems to run all the time" some things to check:

  • Has underneath the fridge been cleaned lately? We have a long haired dog and I have to take the front bottom guard off and vacuum the coils often. Blocked coils can result in overheating.
  • Check to see if the condenser fan is actually working ... you may be able to see it ... if you can access the back of the fridge. With no fan the compressor has to work harder which means generating more heat that has to go somewhere

Thaw out the defrost drain in the freezer. It has frozen over and the defrost water has nowhere else to go except on your floor.

I have a GE side by side Fridge that seems to get stuck in defrost mode and thaws the freezer out completely. When I tap the mother board with a screw driver it begins cooling again for a couple of days...

Yes I do believe your motherboard is very likely the problem. These motherboards are a common weak link for the GLS25 and all series of the Artica/Profile. Fact is any refrigerator that uses electronics to control mechnical and electrical functions has this weakness. Things that help cause this problem are failing compressor start components like start relay, start capacitor, defective condensor or evaporator fan motors and electrical surge.

I have a GE Profile side by side fridge and need help with my icemaker. It's making great ice but seems to have to much water. Is there some way to adjust the time on for the water fill valve?

Your model has the electronic control behind the front cover and not very serviceable. The part number providing your refrigerator is the PSW26P model the ice maker part number would be WR30X10093 for that Model. You may also take into consideration that it is also a possible bad water valve on the rear leaking after shut off. That would show up as water running over the sides and the freezing and possibly freezing the fill tube in the back of the ice maker causing water to go everywhere. But most likely it is the control board inside the front of your ice maker. Thanks Sea Breeze

GE profile refrigerator line freezes, fan blows but no cold air?

OK, I think I understand. Thing is we need to do a few things to see if your control board is the problem or if the fan or a freon leak is the answer. You need to tell me if this began suddenly or if over a period of time. I have been having trouble lately from Fixya if the customer (YOU) responds to my solutions. Let me know if you want my help and I will see if I get a email letting me know of your response, Thanks, Sea Breeze
