Hi, I have tried to hack my Samsung DVD R150 but appear to have made a mess. The first time it appeared to work, but I can now only play Region 0/All DVDs so obviously it is not set to multi region. I now cannot get it to accept any code to change it back. Any advice welcome.

    When I say it will play Region 0 or Region All dvds, then any DVD that has a single region code, other than 0 cannot be played. How do I revert back to original software?

    I obtained code from internet hack forum. There are a number of sites and they all seem to give the same advice and codes. I thought your service would be able to give more advice. I'm not sure Samsung will give out multi region code, as it negates the reason for them not being multi region when you buy them.

    I have had 4 emails but only seen 2 replies. The first reply has disappeared and the second is shown as #1, and I do not know what has happened to #3 and #4 unless they are repeats of #2, which is shown as #1! Can I conclude that you cannot help me?

Try doing this steps:

With no disk loaded:

Press the Menu button on your remote control
Press the 5 button on your remote control
Press the 7 button on your remote control
Press the 5 button on your remote control
Press the 3 button on your remote control
Press the 8 button on your remote control

The currently selected region will be indicated on the onscreen display
Press the 1 button on your remote control for region 1, the 2 button for region 2, and so on,
or the 9 button for multi-region playback
Press the Menu button on your remote control

I think you need to contact samsung and get code for multi region .It is not possible to generate code for your dvd player.

You can play all dvds, so what is the actual problem? you would need to reload the software / firmware I beleave to get it back to defaults

Hi

To make the player as region free, switch on the LG HT554 Player. Push the eject button to open the tray. Now, press “0” on your player 4 times or until the region code settings shows up on your player. It will show the current region code and will then ask for new region code. Press “0” on your remote to set it as a new region code(0=All Regions). Press Enter key on remote, now restart your player and check the player by playing the DVD’s. It should be region free now.

Hi,

I was made to understand that there are several versions of this model. Pls try:
  • Turn on your DVD player - with no disc inside;
  • Press pause followed by 3 1 4 1 5 9;
  • screen will display current region
  • Press 0
  • enter
or
  • Press On
  • "No disc" will appear
  • Eject Tray
  • Press '0' more than five times.
  • Press Pause
  • Press Off
or
  • Press "pause"
  • Press "1 4 7 2"
  • edit the 5th number group in the code
  • the first number is the region code
  • example; if the number is "12" then the region is set to 1
  • another example, if the number is "42" then the region is set to 4
  • so if you want all regions set it to "02"
  • when finished press "pause" again to exit from the menu
  • power off the unit and turn back on again.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Samsung dvd-85k unlock code
Samsung DVD-V8500K
1. The player should be powered on, the tray closed without any disc inside, the logo "DVD Video Samsung" visble on screen and the message No Disc must have already appeared.
2. Press the "Subtitle" key on the remote - "No Disc" should disappear.
3. Using the remote control, key in the code
"5, 3, 8, 1, 4"
4. A number should appear - this is the player's region number that was last programmed.
5. Press the number of the region you require, or 9 for region-free.
6. Press the "Subtitle" key on the remote - region number should disappear.
7. Press Standby on the remote control.
NOTE:
Origin of this player is Region 5 so it`s a default setting
If code "5, 3, 8, 1, 4" doesnt work try this codes:
Region 1 - 2, 9, 3, 3, 4
Region 2 - 3, 8, 7, 6, 7
Region 3 - 5, 6, 7, 3, 2
Region 4 - 7, 6, 8, 8, 4
Region 5 - 5, 3, 8, 1, 4
Region 6 - 2, 4, 4, 6, 2

I would like to change regions on my portable Durabrand DVD player model PDV-722
Alright, just follow these steps and let me know if you have any problems or questions

  1. Power and switch on the Durabrand DVD player.
  2. Open the DVD disc tray tray or lid.
  3. Press Stop.
  4. Press 3 - 5 - 9 - 7 (3597 in sequence). Can be done on remote control.
  5. Hidden DVD Region menu appears. Select region 0 or 9 using up or down button on remote control
  6. Press OK.
  7. Close the disc tray and press Standby on the DVD player front

Trying to de code my samsung dvd/vr 355 to play multi regional dvd
samsung dvd vr355 hack (uk model only)

remove dvd
switch on
press dvd button
press menu
press 57538 (76884 for non uk)
a number will appear in top left corner i.e. 2
then press 9 for multiregion
press open
switch off
player should be multi region now

LG DVD player LG276
I picked up a LG DV276 DVD Player here in Australia but I am from the United States so I own region 1 DVDs. I unlocked my new player by instead 1. Open the tray. 2. Press 0 0 0 0 on the remote and a Menu will appear. 3. Press 0 for region free. 4. Press pause and power off.

I can play everything now, Aussie and US DVDs. Thanks LJ66.

I have tried to unlock the DVD DP271 player using following methods, But it is not unlocking. If any body knows any other code. Please help me to un lock my DVD DP271 player.

1. Power up and press setup
2 Scroll down to LOCK
3 Press '0' (zero) seven times
4. A message may now appear with saying that the player is region free.
5. Power down then power up.

1. Remove any discs and power up the DVD
2. Press PAUSE
3. Enter 314159
4. The hidden region code menu may now appear.
5. Set code you want- 0 for multiregion, 1 for region 1 and so on
6. Press PAUSE
7. Power down then power up
