I have an old Ruud gaspac that runs on propane when i went to start it this year it smoked and left soot on the exhaust vent and smoked up the inside of the unit. I suspect a blockage in the exhaust from the burner. I am looking for an exploded view of this unit to see how it comes apart.

Ignore GazllFixIt...
If it's dead, a connection is already broken inside.
Much more unlikely is that the capsule is at fault - and if it is you can't make things any worse anyway.
Who cares if you break a connection when you take it apart - as long as you can use a soldering iron, it's easy enough to fix. If you can't, why would you be taking apart in the first place ;)
You'd be mad to send it to Sennheiser to solder 1 or 2 points then send it back to you! Waste of time and money.
Try learning something yourself, especially if it only cost $10 and doesn't work to begin with.
Remove the capsule assembly - desolder and disconnect the wires at the base of the mic (not from the capsule) yourself (see, opposite of last advice), then connect them directly to a cable with an XLR on the other end. Forget about ground for now.
Now plug it in...do you hear anything? If not, get a multimeter and check continuity between capsule and your XLR. If you have continuity, throw the mic out. If not, replace those wires. Still nothing - chuck it out.
If you are hearing something (it should sound absolutely fine, clear, loud etc), ...find the broken connection elsewhere...but also, be happy because it definately still works and is definately fixable and you can do it yourself.

The diagrams are normal page size, nothing that big was ever printed by Ford
SOURCE: Daily reset of outside unit
I have the same unit and was having the same problem. My brother works on A/C's and told me that the coils most likely needed cleaning from the inside out because when they are clogged with a lot of debris the system will overheat and cause that switch to trip and so far it has worked. What you need to do is turn the main breaker off to the outside unit first then take the four screws out of the top of the unit, use a flat head screwdriver and lift the fan it's self up out of the carefully taking caution of the wires going to the fan, then take the garden hose with a spray nozzle and wash the coils from the inside spraying through the coil to the outside and then wash the louvers off of all the debris and this should help.

if the purge fan wont start on its own see if there is a capactor attached. if not replace it. more than likely you cannot lube the bearings in your blower motor. the new fans are not serviceable.

The fuel mix it too rich. There should be a place where the gas hose goes into the burner part, and an adjustment where you can adjust how much air it gets. The flame should be almost 100% blue. It can make the grates glow another color, but the flame should be mostly blue.
