I have a Kitchenaid Electric double Wall Oven. We had a power outagfe for about 5 seconds and the top oven works fine, but the lower oven has locked (as if self cleaning) and is showing F5-E1 error code.

DOOR AND LATCH SWITCH DO NOT AGREE
DOOR LATCH NOT OPERATING.
PROCEDURE: Before proceeding, press OFF, OFF, START to enter
the Diagnostic mode and verify the error codes.
TO VERIFY DOOR SWITCH:
A. While in diagnostics, open the oven door. The second digit on the clock display
should toggle between “1” and “0” as the door opens and closes. When door is
closed display should show “1”, when the door is open display should show “0”.
If the second digit on the clock display did not toggle, go to step B.
If the digit did not toggle after replacing the door switch, go to step D.
If the digit did not toggle after replacing the door switch harness, go to step F.

C. Replace door switch. (If door switch is integral to the door latch motor
assembly, replace the entire door/latch motor assembly). Go to step H.
D. Unplug oven or disconnect power.
E. Check the integrity of the harness wires and connections between the
appliance manager and the door/latch assembly. Ensure there are no shorted

For some reason I get the same error code every time we have a power outage. If you push and hold the "lower off" button for about ten or 15 seconds it will unlock and reset. Hope this helps.
SOURCE: Jenn-Air Wall Oven Model #WW30430P F5 Fault Code
I have the exact same problem with an F5 fault code. I also have a new clock assembly. RepairClinic.com said "Jenn Air fault code F5 = Hardware and watchdog circuits disagree / Replace clock assembly (also called the ERC)
Jenn Air Fault code for newer models F5 = Power to element relays disabled in cook mode
1. Intermittent oven temperature sensor or wire harness or,
2. Intermittent contact on power relay board"
This doesn't help since it is too technical. What should I do next?
SOURCE: E1 F5 error message when try to activate the self clean
The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.
The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...
Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.
If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.
Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.
