Nokia 6300 wont turn on, blue lights on side stay on

Brand new phone appears to have locked up. Charged it up, but it still will not turn on and the blue lights on the side stay on and slowly blink. Ive pressed every concievable button combination, removed battery, sim, re- inserted and swore at it. nothing works

I had a simliar problem with my k800i, it turned out that it needed its firmware/software updated. So u can either get it "flashed" at a shop (around £10) or you can try doing it at home but you'll need the software and the data cable for the phone. Google it i'm sure you'll find something. Good luck

Hey !
1 . Open the backside of the phone
2 . take off the battery
3 . wait approximatively 10 secondes
4 . back the battery inside & close the phone
5 . switch on the phone
Et voila.

I hope it helps, I have experienced the same and it works for me.

If it don't work try to clean (softly) the sim card and the parts under the battery with air.

Please check whether the light effect is ON in your current profile.

To turn the light please follow the below steps,

Menu--->Settings--->Profile--->Select the profile you using
--->personalise--->Light effects.

Put it to ON.You will get the lights.

The blue lights dont stay on.
Its jus a alert to you if you have a message or missed call.

Please check whether the light effect is ON in your current profile.

To turn the light please follow the below steps,

Menu > Settings > Profile > Select the profile you using
> personalise > Light effects.

Put it to ON.You will get the lights

Nokia 6300 blue lcd lights staying on draining my battery
This could be a software glitch. Perform reset settings on the handset. You will not lose any date, only personalized settings will be resorted to factory defaults. If this still does not help, you would need to reflash the software on the handset.
