Ice maker worked fine last night, this morning it is just running water and not making ice.

I understand the ice maker is not working in your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FPHG2399PF. Please follow these steps to resolution:

1)Make sure the ice maker power switch is on. This button is located on the ice maker itself.

2)Make sure there is not a small cube caught in the ice maker itself. If there is, carefully remove it.

3)Check your water filter. Water filters should be changed roughly every 6-8 months. Also make sure your water filter is seated correctly. Try taking out the filter and re-installing it. Listen for 2 clicks and make sure it is flush with the water filter housing.

There's no ice

First the arm has to be in the down position. It sounds like you said theres water in the ice maker. If thats the case then it should have frozed. The ice cannot drop unless the ice maker heater comes on. Then the ice maker scoops the ice and drops into the resoviour thingy. If you have ice in the ice maker tray but no ice in the bucket then the ice maker is defective.

first replace the water valve

either the thermostat is bad or the heater isnt working. You could take the icemaker out and connect leads to the heater to see if it warms up or use an ohm meter to test the heater and thermostat. Also take the cover off and see if the cog wheel on the motor is broken.

The ice maker likely needs replacing.
But ceck it to make sure its not hung up.

Does it have ice frozen in it or is it just turning arround.

Remove it and see if the heater underneath has a hold burnt in it.

Its just a plug in unit you can order one online.

Hopefully you have a filter before the ice maker. Replace this (if you have one) at least every 6 months.

The ice maker has a float or full detection device that shuts the water off when trays are full. If you are sure this is where the water is coming from, then that's it.
