Question about Activision Video Game Consoles & Games
How do I sync my fishing rod to my 360 xbox, so that I can go fishing? I have pushed the little button above the large button facing you.....the rotating green goes faster---then slows down but does not stop. I am new to xbox 360,,,,but would like to go fishing......ps. hand controller works the game fine. Cheers ..Des
The xbox 360 wirless controller has very little lag that you would not be able to notice i would suggest just getting the controller and if u want u can also get a xbox 360 controller that is wired.

If you're using an HDMI connection between the Xbox 360 and the TV, it might be that. When using HDMI, the Xbox won't boot up until it knows what the TV is capable of displaying. Although the controller will turn the console on, it won't sync with the console -- and it's not a controller or console problem, but just a symptom of the fact that the Xbox won't get to the point where controllers will sync until it can properly communicate with the TV. I'd recommend turning off the TV and the Xbox, disconnecting the HDMI cable and re-connecting it after making sure the contacts are clean. Then turn the Xbox back on first; you'll likely to see the same behavior. Finally, turn the TV back on. With it being switched back into HDMI mode, it just might "kick-start" the Xbox into a good communication link across HDMI. Hope that helps.

SOURCE: Syncing problem? Xbox 360
Is your TV a HD TV? Be sure to go to options and synchronize the game. There are delays with HD TV's and the GH/Rock Band games.
Also, try using a wired guitar to see if there is a problem with the wireless guitar you are using.
Hope this helps!

This got to be a hardware failure with the guitar, there is no wires or some button you pressed by mistake.
Try checking out that cables are plugged in, try to switch USB port to connect on the xbox 360, or else its a hardware problem.

The Xbox 360 utilizes two
types of controllers: wired and wireless. Like most operations on a
video game console, configuring a controller requires little effort. You
can either plug the controller into a port on the Xbox 360, or sync a
wireless controller using the console's built-in controls.
