The audio drivers are not installed, Insert the drivers cd and then install the audio drivers, If you do not have the drivers then go to the computer manufacturers website and download the drivers by choosing your computer's make and model along with the Operating system details.

Error code 28 indicates that the driver for multimedia controller is not installed or corrupted. Use the driver cd provided by your computer manufacturer and install the audio driver.

theres many models. some are detachable from pci slot. others are onboard. laptops are onboard 99.99% of times. what model laptop. or soundcard. u need the driver for the operating system from the hardware maker.

Hi, Confirm that there is an audio device installed in your PC > right click on My Computer, Properties, Hardware tab, Device Manager button, expand Sound, video and game controllers, It's got to be there, with no yellow or red marks. Also in Start, Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices, Audio tab, you should have something in Default device. If none likewise in Device Manager or a yellow or red mark, you have to re-install your drivers by right clicking on the mark and click Update drivers.
