I tried pressing the ON/C button to turn it on but it still wont turn on
First remove the six screws on the back cover. The top of the calculator will be still attached by three clips. Twist the calculator slightly to make the lower end of the gray part of the calculator pop up from the black base. Pry the base off by applying gentle pressure or by prying the sides outward. Change the batteries, then be sure to short out the "reset" button by rubbing a coin over it.
Try replacing the batteries.
