To switch on Webcam, you must install the Webcam drivers and applications. Drivers and applications, adapted to type of laptop. Example: Toshiba Satellite L510-ST3405 to Win XP operating system.

Toshiba Support Homepage

1. Open link
2. Choose category = Laptop
3. Choose family = Satellite
4. Choose model = L510-ST3405 - click GO
5. Select operating system = Example Win XP
6. Download driver and application
7. Install driver and application
8. Open application to switch on Webcam.

If your sound doesn't work you need to go to you webcam and switch the brand by open your webcam and click settings click recording and switch it. that's if when you record you cant here yourself. If you cant open your webcam go to start and start typing webcam and it will pop up! Hope it helped!!!!

i you want use it for taking picture, u need webcam software come with your laptop like cyberlink webcam to make it functioning, but if u want to use it for cam chat, you just need ym or skype to make it functioning but make sure you webcam driver is installed befor you can use your webcam.

try locating it in "All Programs" in Vista.If it is not found in Acessorries or extras,then check whether it is installed in "Control Panel->System->Device Manager".If it is installed,then when you switch on any webcam program or IM,clicking webcam/video chat will switch it ON.

click on the windows menu, u see a column that says "start search" .... type in the word webcam, it leads you directly to the webcam then you can operate it..

You can't have two video cameras in operation at the same time. Video cameras are known as "streaming devices" to the operating system.

You will need to go into your device manager and "DISABLE" the one camera you don't want to use in order for the other to work properly.
