Check your ground wire. If its loose or bad. It will cause your amp to run hot, and can damage it

4 channel amp to a single dual voice coil sub

Search up Google and enter your amp (name and model #) , and it should show you a pdf manual of that amplifier and show you that , possibly a 3-channel set-up would fit your needs, 4 ohms is usually the lowest minimum for the middle mono channel. Then, you could run the other two L & R channels for your mids and tweets (in stereo) on the remaining two channels; thereby in keeping a single amp to run the entire system. Also, 2 ohms would usually be the normal minimum on same amp for stereo amp output abilities, so that could easily run 5 speakers off one amp. I did it for years on a RF-600a4 with one 12" sub, and two 6 1/2" midbass, and two tweets (usually Morels, or Image Dynamics). Hope that helps...

I have EP2500 amp i want to use it to push 6 tops, what should i switch it to? one channel must push 3 tops and the other as well pushing 3 tops.

OK, you can use ep2500 amp to power 3 tops each,But the only challenge is that you are about to over load your amplifier. might get hot too fast .

You can use a cooling system to make it not too hot..It also depends on how the event your using it for...Using 3 EP2500 amplifier to drive three 6 top, using two top for each amplifier. Just a suggestion.

Using 2 amplifier, you will need to drive on one channel to drive 2 tops, and 1 top for the other channel.

That will do. But make sure you turn on the volume of the amplifier to the max volume ,so that it will be able to work properly for your tops...

I have the 6-digit codes from my radio. i need the 1-800 number to call. thanx

Radio code is specific for each and every car. It is specific like anti theft code.

You can get it by providing your VIN# and registration details in authorized dealership.
Nobody else can provide you. If anybody can provide you that , then there is no meaning of security for your car.

How to get the best sound

punk and metal tones (late 80s): treb-7 mid-6-7 bass 6-8, presence 6-10, gain/distortion all the way up. classic rock just turn down the gain/distortion to 6-7. bridge pickup

metal mid 90s & up: treb 6-7, mids 3-5, bass 7-9, gain all the way up, presence (which is a mid and treble boost) 4-6. bridge pickup

blues SRV: treb 6, mid 6, bass 7.5, presence 8, gain 5, reverb (if you got it). use your neck pick up

of course this is subjective and depends on the guitar, cable quality, etc. it looks like a small speaker with a low watt output. that little speaker in there is going to be hard to articulate any tones. more than likely it will have a harsh bit to it cause the value of the pots and the logarythm you hear. reduce treble as needed to smooth out the harsh, keep the mids up.

As we agreed in chat - you are going to run your 4 channel amplifier as follows...

Front Channels of amplifier will run left and right independently.
Wire up the left speakers in parallel all + together and all - together.
This will yield a 2 Ohm load.

To the Same with the Right Side speakers - on the FRONT Right channel of the amplifier.

Now you have a 2ohm stereo load on the FRONT channels of your amplifier.

And using the BRIDGED nomenclature on the REAR channels of your amplifier - wire up your 4ohm sub mono.

Here is a crude drawing for a visual

Amp ran really hot now the red and amber lights are on and no sound

Pull the cover off the amp and check the fan and boards, dust buildup in these amps will cause it to shut down use "dustoff" or similar. do not use a rag. These amps need to be checked every month or so or you will get what just happened to you. If you still have an issue, post a comment and I will help you troubleshoot some more. Hope this helps

Just got this amp, and was wondering what subs I should get with this amp

Did some research and it sounds like a wicked lil amp with clean clean sound-its hard to say what subs to tell you to run because everyone has different taste- and without knowing what your setup is going to be theres no real way to actually say-the amp is made to run 3 channels -so focusing on the sub channel only i personally say get a pair of 10s or a good 12-your not throwing a ton of power so you dont have to go balls out on the subs- i personally like MTX subs and xtant is made by MTX so that wouldnt be far from home -good luck with that
