You should have a menu option which will have a language option - select english...

• Press TOOLS (the spanner icon in the bottom right of the screen with WHERE TO and VIEW MAP)
  
• Press SETTINGS (The spanner icon) or LOCALE (the blue icon) whichever your satnav has
• Press LANGUAGE (the lips icon)

This takes you to a screen with 3 items on it; VOICE, TEXT LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD

Press VOICE and select the name of an English speaking person to change the voice instructions to English.
Press TEXT LANGUAGE and change it to English or American English if you're in the USA

The TEXT LAGUAGE should be showing DEUTCH beside it (the German word for German)

click start control panel,regional and language options select regional language options from the drop down list select the language you want also from the bottom drop up list you can select your present location location or another language

If you can't get english instructions from wherever you got the opener, I would google and use an German to English translator.

Is it possible that the cartridge is entirely German? Was it an import? or did you purchase it at a local department store? or even, is it one of those 10 in 1 cartridges.

hi you need to take it to the dealer to have it scanned. There is a way to fix it with the buttons on the dash. But you need to know German if not the dealer can fix it and it wont cost much to get it fix. hope this helps
