The reason is being this is Windows 8 and it sounds like a possible hardrive issue. since the recovery partition can't be accessed. I am assuming that the computer is new You be might be able to get it fixed it for free.
Check for ventilation to start with. if its overheating this could be an issue, failing that, since you are already recovering the HD, I suggest that it maybe beyond recovery, as the recovery info.. is also held on the same disk
I unplugged the battery from a lenovo b570 laptop , after 5 minutes and still ask my for the pass that I forget, any1 knows a workaround for this? still pressing f12 u can access boot sequence though
A blue screen or Blue Screen Of Death, BSOD, is generally caused by a corrupt driver or a bad software installation.
First, you need to determine the STOP code that is on that screen.
Start in safe mode, press F8 repeatably as the computer starts up,
check Disable automatic restart on system failure (This prevents Windows from automatically restarting if an error causes Windows to fail.)
OK, now the BSOD will stay there so you can determine what caused your problem. Report back the stop code and any information about a driver that caused the problem so we can be of further help.
When systems power off suddenly, always suspect - the power first. I would then look at heat and physical connections next as culprits. Memory errors almost always show up as blue screens. I say try a new power supply and see what it does. Its not a lot of money either way.
Run CPUID Hardware Monitor and watch your temps. You will have to turn logging on or you will lose the data in a crash. Make sure your CPU heatsink is still connected properly. Things have a way of working loose.
This is either the hardrive that has failed or windows cannot find the c:\ boot volume.
You will need to start your pc up with your xp cd in and and when it's installed all the set up files press 'R' for repair, this will overwrite all the system files, without deleteing any of your saved files and programmes.
If the last suggestion i posted didn't work, you need to put in your Windows CD on boot up and when it asks if you want to repair or install press 'R' for repair, this should repair any damaged registry files and Windows files.
