Hi there, I noticed you said you removed the keyboard from the Amilo D7830. Also I noticed you were having the same issue as me (soldering the power supply). Can you give me instructions on how you fixed it? I have removed the bottom completely (I pulled the metal part off the board completely =-P) but I cannot get into the top!
To remove the keyboard you don´t need to remove the bottom.
Look at the first row _F KEYS_ With a small screwdriver you must pull 3 fixing points, left -near F2-, middle and right.
Pull between keyboard and case, these will release keyboard up.
Pulling there you can pull out keyboard.
Sorry for my English.

"Guest",
Thanks so much for that. That's something I would *never* have found, it's so well hidden!
Only problem is, it doesn't get me to where I want to be unfortunately - maybe you could help further?
How can I get into the power jack? At the bottom I can see it but it seems to be on the other side of the board - and so far I haven't been able to get into the other side!
Any help is appreciated - thank you!
Where can I download a free user manual for my amilo D7830??
