I have just intalled Roxio creator 2009 but much of it will not open. To date I have found advice on Media Cretaot 5, 6, 9 and several other items but not Creator 2009. Can you help please?

Are you sure is the full version of the program.. If some or most features are not avaliable (greyed out) you may have a demo version, a shareware version or most likely a system requirement has not been met some some features may not be avaliable to you.

Cannot launch roxio creator 2009 using desktop icon

If you are running any version of Windows, it's an easy fix, don't worry-

Delete your desktop icon
Using Windows Explorer, go to your C:\Program Files\Roxio folder
Open the Roxio folder, and find the Creator.exe file
Right click on the .exe file, 'create shortcut'
Cut and paste the shortcut you just made onto your desktop.
Try it to make sure it functions correctly.

Roxio creator 2009 burning issues

Here's a few things you can try:

1.) Download Service Pack 3 for Creator 2009. This updates the software and is recommended.

2.) Update your CD/DVD burner drives. This can be done by going to the manufacturers website and checking for updates. (Ex: If you purchased your computer from Dell and it came with a built in burner, you'd check Dell.com for updates.)

3.) Update the PX Engine. This is Roxio software that communicates with the CD/DVD burner drives.

Shrill sound problem

If you have Roxio 9, remove it (and other copies of Roxio/Sonic) from the computer.

Remember: Roxio Creator 9 and Roxio Creator 2009 are NOT the same things!! Creator 9 is an old software application that Roxio does not support.
