SOURCE: Extreme loud sound on MK/25

did you check your bulletins from scuba pro ? depending on the actual year of mfg ( you can call scuba pro and give them serial number )
there was a retro fit kit made for the mk 25 first stage of you send me your email i will send the bulletin to you

other wise if you wew working from an earlier service guuide then you would notbe aware of the retro fit kits and pistons some of the earlier schematic will not show you that o ring that you were refering to

I have been using my A700/mk25 for six month and recently it has been making a whislting noise when I inhale.

the whistle noise is some thing loose (torn o-ring) inside the second stage. this is covered under warranty. scuba pro offers a parts for life program which is no cost to you if 1st & 2nd stage with a computer are bought at one time. just pay service labor. the whistle noise will be repaired are replaced free under 1 year.

Schematics for a scubapro mk17 regulator

these are controlled by scubapro due to they need specail testing equipment to repair regulators E..G now IP pressure is 135 psi and there is no adjusting screw shims and springs then the cracking effort test to see if you have pressure flutter or creep. these can not be seen with out testing equipment.

My problem is i don't have anymore teeth in my mouth i can not bite the regulator if i dive, my regulator will detached to my mouth and i can not proceed with my work as underwater assistment.

They sell aftermarket mouth pieces that you warm in water once soft and pliable you bite down it takes shape to your bite plate which is further back in your mouth and can not be pulled out .

With inhalation there seemed to be a brief stop in the air stream and some resistance. This happens regardless of how my second stage is tuned. I have had two other divers to try it and they both felt it...

Hi,

Is this reg new by any chance??
Or perchance it's due a good service?? Sounds like something is sticking inside..

Alternately, I had a similar problem with my mk25 just after I bought it. The dive center I was in were able to fix it overnight for me so I the weekend wouldn't be a washout and the said afterwards that the problem was one of the seals/valves inside that was a bit of a design flaw. They knew about it and had replacements on hand so it could be worth letting your local service center look at it and see what they think..

It's possible this is it too..
