You don't need a driver.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Check if the memory card you purchased is compatible with your camera. Try and check the card also on your PC if actually shows 2Gig of memory, and see if the file size of the three pictures match the total memory consumed. If not, try formatting the SD card and reinsert on your camera. Try and take some pictures again and see if it consumes it the same as before...

I have been having this same problem. It doesn't happen everytime, but there have been a number of occasions when my Exilim Z850 would display a blinking red light and refuse to take pictures. I thought it was a battery issue, so I tried buying a new battery, eventhough I observed this problem soon after the camera was newly purchased. The new battery didn't help resolve the issue. So I do hope someone out there has figured out what's wrong and will let us know.
