Long as that limit is open then you ain't gonna have no heat amigo. Check your smoke stack for air restrictions that might cause the limit to trip.

Garage door opens too far and ends up 2 or 3 inches into the motor housing. How do I fix this issue.

Check the opening limit dial on the garage door opener unit. You can locate the dial that controls the opening limit on the opener unit and use a flat head screwdriver to turn the dial counter clockwise until the door stops about an inch and a half away from the stop bolt. Then, test the door and make sure it does not slam into the bolt. A video tutorial on how to adjust the opening limit of a Craftsman garage door opener is available on YouTube.

If the above step does not work, check the limit switches on the garage door opener. Most garage door openers have limit switches that control how far the door opens and closes. Improperly adjusting these switches can cause the door to stop halfway. Consult your garage door opener's manual to learn how to adjust the limit switches. Make small adjustments until the door closes fully. Craftsman garage door opening too far and hitting stop bolt easy adjustment (youtube.com)

Last week my furnace went out. My landlord called a furnace technican and he said that the limit switch was fried. So he replaced the limit switch and did a tune up of the furnace. It took 2 days for the...

Hello, a limit switch will open when the furnace overheats due to restricted airflow, check the blower wheel make sure it is clean and also make sure the blower motor is running at good speed and not dragging. Sometimes a weak capacitor can slow down a blower motor to the point that the limit switch will open. Not sure what kinda tune up the tech did but you dont replace a limit switch untill the cause of the limit switch opening is found.

Blower motor runs but furnace won't light indicator light says limit switch open. where is this switch. Tappan furnace

There may be two or three limit switches. The main limit switch is found over the burner about 2 " above. It will look like two wires connecting to a small rectangle plate. The limit is actually inside the heat exchanger and often opens if the air filter has not been changed or cleaned. Also on the burner assembly, there may be one or two small round disc shaped switches about the diameter od a quarter. They will also have two wires connected to them and they probably are connected to all the limit switches if you follow the wires. Look closely at these switches for a small tab located between the wires connected to them. This tab is a reset. Push in on the tab to reset. You may actually feel or hear the switch resetting if it opened. Make sure all registers are open and good air flow through the furnace.

Chamberlin garage door opens to top limit bounces back to return down about 6 inches and then returns to open limit. What adjustments are neccessary?

The limit switch of both the sides are not reached. The drive must be realigned to work till the door closes fully so as to touch the limit swittch to switch off.
Similarily the open door must go to the extreme point to cut off with the activation of the limit switch.

Moonroof wont close all the way

Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuit's with a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ? When adjusting the moon roof did you see any switches ? sunroof limit switch
Measure the reference voltage of the sunroof limit switch soft stop signal circuit at the sunroof control harness connector to a good ground.
Does the reference voltage measure near the specified value?
4.5-5.5 V
Notice: Do not open the sunroof glass past the full open soft stop position. Doing so may damage the sunroof assembly and or the roof top.
Connect a jumper wire to the sunroof limit switch soft stop signal circuit at the sunroof control module harness to a good ground.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Using the sunroof switch, operate the sunroof system, not to exceed the full open soft stop position.
Does the system operate as requested?

Do you know what a wiring diagram is ? Free one's here
http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year ,make ,model an engine size . Under system click body & accessories ,then under subsystem click on sun roof . Click the search button then the blue link . See the control module , motor an the two switches ? One is probably miss adjusted . or bad !

Power Sunroof System Components
The power sunroof system consists of the following components:
• Sunroof control module
• Sunroof motor with the limit switches
• Sunroof switch
• Sunroof glass-spoiler type, with glass sliding above roof
• Sunshade
• Rail and track assembly upon which the sunroof glass rides
• Power sunroof system circuit breaker: PWR WDO 25 A
• Ground: G204

Sunroof Limit Switches
The sunroof limit switches track the position of the sunroof glass through two limit switches:
• Soft Stop limit switch through the sunroof limit switch soft stop signal circuit
• Vent Stop limit switch through the sunroof limit switch range signal circuit
The sunroof control module monitors the limit switches and based on the input combinations, determines the position of the sunroof glass. As a sunroof limit switch closes, the 5 volt reference will be shorted to the sunroof limit switch low reference circuit, pulling the 5 volt reference to 0 volts.
The sunroof control module monitors both sunroof switch input requests and based on the sunroof limit switch input combinations, will control an output to the sunroof motor, to drive the sunroof glass to the requested position.

Sunroof Motor
The sunroof has a bi-directional motor. When the motor is not operating both circuits are grounded. When the motor drives the sunroof glass in the direction from the closed to vent or vent to open position, the following occurs:
• Voltage is supplied to the sunroof motor open circuit.
• Ground is maintained to the sunroof motor close circuit.
When the motor drives the sunroof in the direction from the open to vent or vent to closed position, the following occurs:
• Voltage is supplied to the sunroof motor close circuit.
• Ground is maintained to the sunroof motor open circuit.
The sunroof control module is equipped with a timer circuit which stops the operation of the sunroof motor after 8 seconds.
