Hello Shirley,
The ignitor is located on the main bake burner..to access it ya would need to remove the floor from the oven which is typically held in place by a couple over sized screws,remove those screws and lift off the oven floor and the ignitor will be their.

Oven is not heating up. Gas burners on stove work.
your unit may have a bad ignitor .. this is located in the bottom of unit most uits the inside of oven on bottom will have a metal plate that cna be removed by taking 2 screws out of the rear part of the metal panel... raise it up and you will see a ignitor under a heat shield that can be tested..it should glow bright when unit is turned on and should have 120 volts coming to it...

Hello when i put my temp for my gas stove on say 350, the pilot is glowing but it doesnt seem to flame/heat up, and i get a somewhat odor of gas, could the therometer need replacing or maybe the ignition...
Your glowbar ignitor part must be replaced, Unplug the range and turn off the gas. Remove yje oven racks, The oven base pan. Then remove the flame spreader. You will see the glowbar ignitor attached to the side of the bake burner. Remove it and replace it with a new ignitor. Replace all the range parts.Turn on the power and turn on the gas supply.

My kenmore oven needs a new ignioven tor. How do i remove the old one? Model No. 9117147810
Hello SHpall,

To get at the ignitor, you need to remove the shroud around it and that will allow you to get at the screws that hold it in place, etc.

First, make sure the power is turned off to your wall oven, at the breaker panel. Then you can remove the racks and get to the ignitor shroud at the back of the oven. Once you've got the shroud (cover) removed, you should be able to remove the screws that hold the ignitor in place and then carefully pull it and the wires out, so you can disconnect them from the oven's wiring harness.

Some models do not have connections at the back of the ignitor and you will have to remove the oven to gain access to it from the backside.
The bes thing to do is first check from the inside, as that's obviously the easiest to do without having to take the oven out of the installation location.

Reinstall the new replacement ignitor and reverse the above steps and you should be fine.

Where is the oven ignitor located?
it is under neath the bottom plate of the oven cavity.usually there r 2 screws at the back of the bottom plate.once u remove them,u will be able to lift up the plate and then u will have access to the ignitor.

I need to change my oven ignitor and I need a diagram to show where it is located. I have a Frigidaire model FGF353BADB. Free standing gas stove/oven.
Here's a diagram of the oven along with the Oven Ignitor (Part #19 on the diagram) and the Broiler Ignitor, (Part #26 on the diagram). They are located behind the gas deflectors located at the top and bottom inside the oven compartment, accessible from inside the oven, but you'll need to remove the rear panel at the outside back of the stove to disconnect the terminals tha supply voltage to the ignitors.

Be sure to turn the breaker off and/or unplug the range from the 220V-AC outlet first.

Ignitor not working
Check the ignitor, Make sure that the connection are good and tight. If they are then look at your control board which is located behind your clock. Then check your relay also.

it is probably the bake ignitor needs replaced. the only way to check it is with an amp meter. however, this is a part that does fail alot, and you can buy one for pretty cheap. it is located mounted on the bake burner by 2 screws. and it only involves splicing 2 wires, (the wire nuts you need should come with the new ignitor)

There is a transformer located on the oven that generates voltage to the ignititors. You have a bad transformer or a bad connection.
