WB13K21 is the ignitor that goes in your stove,i looked up part number RGB 745 and it doesn't come up as a good part number,if the bake ignitor works you can try that up in the broil, they are the same,if it lites then you know the ignitor they put in is no good.here's the sears site so you can see the ignitor yourself.http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Hotpoint-Parts/Range-Parts/Model-RGB745DEP1CT/1811/0124002/G0907278/00001?blt=06&prst=&shdMod=

GE wall oven gas model # JGRS14 won't heat past 100 and I don't see any flames

if you can see the ignitor glowing on either the broiler or the lower area of the oven then the gas valve is bad and not opening anymore, sometimes the ignitors are the culprit as they are in series with the gas valve and if weak wont let the valve open, but both upper and lower burners not operating i would suspect a gas valve first

Ignitor wont glow

It might be cracked or broken. I would carefully remove it (don't drop it), and put an ohmmeter across the contacts. You should get a reading of 500 ohms or less, but not 0 (meter leads shorted to each other).

If the reading is higher, either you don't have the meter leads actually touching the terminals, or the part faulty.

But if it's not faulty, then the ignitor's power source is not feeding it electricity. In this case, the heat sensing circuit may be bad, usually caused by a faulty thermostatic device.

There also may be a loose wire connection inside the unit.

You can test all of the above with a voltmeter. Put the leads, one in each terminal on the ignitor socket, and have someone else start the dryer.

It probably won't work with the ignitor removed, but there should be a slight jump on the volt meter if the circuit is working properly.

I usually don't bother with all that. There's far fewer different ignitor elements than there are appliances that use them, so you can almost always find the one you need in stock, in town.

Take the old one along. Some parts distributors will test the one you bring in, because if they didn't, they wouldn't know what's going on.

If the ignitor is good, they usually know which part failed, because parts guys know which parts fail most on any appliance.

Bertazzoni gas range - the broiler won't stay ignited

In my case, the igniting wire was too close to another piece of metal. It was igniting upstream from the burner. All I did was push up on the wire, and the broiler started working again!

Have a GE gas range. Broiler doesn't work while

First clean the terminals at the control and check for tight wires at the incoming terminal block. Check the neutral wire for a good conection. If the ignitor reads less than 3 amps it does not have enough resistance to open the gas valve. Turn the gas off. Put a clamp on amp meter on the broil ignitor wire. Turn the broiler on. If less than 3 amps.replace the ignitor.
