How do I override the password on a Toshiba cx32f60 tv? All channels above 13 are blocked. I want to unblock all of them. The remote is a Toshiba ct-9809.

Hello
Disconnect the AC power for at least one minute to reset the clock running inside the circuit.
Adjust Volume to Minimum using the Volume Down button on the front panel of the TV.
Press and Hold the Volume Down button on the front panel of the TV and the "Zero" button on the remote control at the same time, holding them down for at least 10 seconds.
The user menu will appear with the V-Chip cursor blinking.
Press ENTER key on the remote control and the NEW PASSWORD menu will appear.
Enter your new password. OK.

I have an apex tv dvd combo. the parental controls are blocking the dvd from playing how do I unblock it?

Apex TVs use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The override code for many models is 6688. Other sets may not have one, or may have a default code of 1225 instead of an override code.

To use the override code:
Hit the MENU key to get to the menus.
Go down to the SYSTEM menu and hit the right arrow on the remote control.
Once in the SYSTEM menu, go to PARENTAL GUIDE. It will ask for your code.
Enter the override code listed above. From here, you can turn on and off different rating restrictions, as well as set a new code.

No matter what the V-chip code is set to, the override code will still work. If you have a blank screen with a red key on the bottom left, simply press the (function or F) button and the mute button at the same time. This will unlock the screen and allow you to view the channel as desired

Look for a reset to default feature in the settings of the TV. That should release the unblock feature and should pick up all channels during the scan.

V-Chip Channel Block

take your tv model number and search on replacementremotes.com for your original remote control. you must get your original remote control to do this. After you search on replacementremotes.com it will bring up your original remote control. and then order it, or if they suggest a replacement it should work too.
