Checking my e-mail at mail.com, I try to scroll down by clicking the down arrow with the cursor and it's frozen. If I hold the cursor down on the scroll bar and force it down it quickly returns to the top.I don't have this problem at any other application.I have WINDOWS 7 and use CHROME browser
First try scan your computer , maybe a virus
2nd try open with other browser ( mozilla or another one )
If all the above fails you can shrink the screen to about 30% That way it will show the whole page without having to scroll down. It's the only thing that's worked for me, nothing to do with dust on the keys etc.
SOURCE: my computer keeps scrolling downward
I had a C600 do the same thing. It kept happening but I got some control over it by blowing around the edges of the touchpad with canned air and then cleaning the touchpad agressively with 99% isopropyl alcohol and a soft lint free cloth. If that makes a noticeable difference then we are on the right track. If the problem becomes unmanageable touchpad replacement may be in order. Let me know if this helps. If you need further solutions I will research further and post as data becomes available.
SOURCE: Will not scroll up or down using the pad on my laptop
Check for any dirt on the keypad. Check also if there are other keys stuck on your computer.
Try restarting your computer.
SOURCE: Every page scrolls to the bottom
try reinstalling the touchpad drivers, go to your laptops home page, you can find the drivers there and reload them, works 99% of the time. other possibility would be a bad touhpad needing replacement.
