One day my radio was playing great. I turned it off and now it will not come back on. I have inserted something in the little whole to reset the radio and checked the fuses but nothing happens. The code security light is blinking but that is all.

This units have a Flex cable which connect main board to TFT Display, if in this flex cable appears interrupted electrical path, (possible) unit can not start.
If u can't remove power plug connector, remove for 2 minutes positive cable from car battery to make a hard reset of unit.

Kenwood Car Stereo doesn't play USB and CD until reset

There is possibly no reset pulse as you power on for the micro processor. This is a timer output from the internal circuitry.

Radio will not turn on

My AWR1-1W stopped working. It would power up, but do nothing except occasional static. I was able to set the clock. The clock did work, but that's all. I know Bose products are high quality, so I was not ready to give up on my radio. I spent ages trying to find a fix online. I finally stumbled on something pertaining to another radio that gave me a clue. I opened the battery backup on the bottom and inserted 3 new AA batteries. The radio is now playing like new. I dont know why that would affect a radio plugged into an outlet, but it fixed mine! Good luck!

How do i reset my theft system if the the factory radio is removed my 98 malibu

You should be able to reset it without the radio. Turn your key forward 2 clicks until right before the car would normally start, leave like this for ten minutes. (No less than ten. Eleven is safe) Turn the key back to the "off" position for 5 seconds and repeat the whole process 2 more times.

So that's forward 10 minutes, back for 5 seconds. Forward 10, back 5. And the final forward 10, back 5. Try to start vehicle.

This is a complete GM Passlock relearn. Should take about 30 minutes. If that doesn't work, you may have something broken. Normally, the passlock doesn't get triggered for no reason. So worst case scenario, you can always bypass the entire system. Here is a great link with a ton of info on Passlock and how to get around it

I cannot insert a CD into the CD slot.

I really like these radios, by the way, and have 1 of the radios w/out CD, 2 with the CD and one of the HD radio's. I'm one of those people that needs multiple alarms to get up so I set several of them to turn on at different times in the morning and it works great!
I have had this problem twice and I've unplugged the unit then after I plug it back in I hold down the CD eject button while I turn it back on. The display then says something like "CD Reset" and it resets the CD mechanism to the beginning of the cycle. This moves the CD holder to the correct position. (I assume the problem is due to the CD positioning device stopping in the wrong place after it ejects a CD, for whatever reason)
I hope this helps. Mine did the same thing with no CD inside.
I listen to the radio a lot, and by having these in several rooms, I can listen to radio without having to have it turned up super loud when I am walking around the house. I also use this at the High School where I am a science teacher. It produces enough quality audio to fill the classrooms with music or playing podcasts of "Science Friday."

Citroen Saxo CD Player will not play when engine running

The car stereo has 2 +12V inputs: the constant batt input and the key in one.
So actually the stereo is always connected to +12V, even in standby.
When you turn your key, the key in input also starts, thus starting your stereo instantly.
When you turn the ignition on, the key in input is switched off for a couple of seconds, so that all the power goes to starting your engine.
After that key in input should be back on - this is your problem here.

One possible solution would be to cut this wire out, and split the RED battery +12V cable so that it enters in the key in input as well. Check wiring diagrams!.

Test this with cables out (without reinstalling the whole thing back in) and if it works.......leave it and put everything back in.

Only downside is, you have to turn off the radio by hand when you exit your car - or you could lose all battery power !
