Thats just the way they are, i have a 32 inch samsung flat screen and you just have to turn it off from the plug, i guess its a safety thing to make sure you do switch it off by the mains. they used to tell you that in the 70's after the last programme finished at midnight, ''and don't forget to turn off the tv and switch it off by the mains'' i just hope its easy to reach for you

Toshiba 36zd26p

If you use a fully-wired scart lead to connect the DVD to the set it should autoswitch to the correct AV input when the DVD is switched on or the disc drawer opened.

Wont power on

some tv's always have standby light on, even iff you turn off by tv button. solution 1: with light on, press a number on remote. solution 2: with light on press stand-by button on remote. solution 3: with light on push the 'on' button on the tv set. solution 4: unplug tv set, wait a few seconds then plug back in, if no light then turn on tv using button on the set, and then channel number.

IE error on wd1484adp

LG's 'IE' stands for '(water) Inlet Error'.

If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call and a check that it isn't the control PCB

How do I turn my Vizio E470VL CC off?

CC is either coming from the box or the set--if grayed out on set means that option is closed---you have to look for it in the set and the BOX menu--have you tried removing box from use?

Hello,
The power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I hope this will help in solving the problem, also do take care in handling the fault....

Hi there. i have a Sharp tv (SX68RF8) which seems to turn off (go into stand-by mode) on its own after few minutes...sometimes it stays on longer sometimes it turns off in seconds..i always have to tur it...

Sounds like something is overheating or it is getting noisy power from the mains.
Try leaving it off for a while and point a fan at it, if it turns on and stays on for longer then it is obviously a thermal issue.
Such a problem would need to be addressed by a qualified factory trained repair technician.
