The model number is not a sony, what is the model number on the back if it is Sony?
Sorry was just checking through and clicked on this one.
The TV is a Sony KDS-55A2000
The lamp was broke in it, changed the bulb and the screen has a greenish tint
in it.
Any advice would be appreciated
yes, that indicates a problem with the optical light engine in the set; Google the model number with the word problems after it.
It is a major part of the set.

I han into this problem myself on my Hitachi Rear projection TV. The part that has gone bad is the "Light Engine", and is a common problem with rear projections. There are 3 mini LCD screens inside your TV. One Green/yellow, one blue and one red. When the heat builds up in the TV over time of usage, these screens will break...causing that color to "bleed" everwhere. My TV was under warranty when it happened, but the part itself would have cost upwards of $200-500 bucks and the labor is another $300-$500.
When the tech fixed my tv, he told me he would see me again within 2 years...and said I'd be better off getting a new TV. That is what the problem is. You can research "Light Engine" here on fixya, and you will find a TON of info on it...and a lot of people with the same problem.
Hope this helps ya.

Behind the front cover you will see a little plastic box with six phillips headed dials. They only move 180 degrees. The three on the bottom control color richness and the three above them control focus. Turn all three of the bottom ones to the left while the TV is on, then gradually turn them to the right until you get the color you want. NOTE if any one of the three bottom dials are too far up the TV will shut down and will continue to turn off after about 10 seconds after start up until the offending dial is turned back a little.

That is totally the bulb, There was a recall on that model number and I called Sony about it. They scheduled a technician who replaced the bulb and did some software upgrade. My TV works perfectly!

Yes sounds like a bad light engine (Optic Block), expensive part, but sony has extended some warranties on these for two or three years
