Question about Nokia Cell Phones

My mobile has a special problem. The mobile shows a weak signal and sometimes zero signal at my home even though the other nokia mobile signals are very high at my home.(same network other nokia mobile uses) And shows full signal at the railway station which is near to my home. Where the problem is there? in the network ic? or in operating system?

    I will describe very much clear below..
    They are the same models.. Actually My Mobile is Nokia 5130 Xpress Music
    I have two phones in my home of same model..
    The two phones have the same network airtel..
    But Phone1 gets signal when it is on the roof of my house and at the railway station..
    When i enter in the home with Phone1 it will get zero signal or 1 point..
    I don't know what is going on with my phone1..
    Where is the prob in the operating system or Network Ic.......
    In Past Actually i used this mobile(phone1) as modem in browsing for longer days in other place..
    this was not the condition of mobile(phone1) when i purchased 1 year before...


    Phone1 gets full signal when i climb roof(gets zero signal when i am in home).
    Phone2 gets full signal when i am in the home

Hi,
Are they the same models?
The phone's capability to sustain a stable network coverage may vary even in model types.
While at your home,remove the phone's battery and simcard and fit them again.
Note how the phone's network signal registers.
It may start very high and then drop drasticaly to very low or no signal at all or sustain a constant signal reception.
If the reception's good in other areas,then your home area's network coverage may not be that good.

You cannot do anything for this problem.This problem is because of the structures around your home.The walls around your home is blocking/interfering with the signal coming inside and the mobile is unable to pick up the signal.

Please try this code

*#3370# - Enhanced Full Rate Codec (EFR) activation. Increase signal strength, better signal reception. It also help if u want to use GPRS and the service is not responding or too slow. But phone battery will drain faster though.

*#3370* - (EFR) deactivation code

If it doesnt work then you cannot do anything else.

I have nokia 5200. It always has a signal problem Sometimes it shows no signal and sometimes weak signal....even though I am near to the tower it shows no signal.....I showed it to care center they fixed...

hi im josh in cebu phils.friend may i help you? your problem is weak signal. friend when the phone is weak signal there maybe a problem in hardware of the phone. the frequency reciever is weak im sure.but you can boost its functions throught entering the setting and go to network settings and select manual search.your phone frequency will search the network connections around so the hardware will be force to boost.once it will show the network providers around you select the network you are using and it will be setted to the network in more/ higher frquencyh signal. thats all friend hope i helped you.good luck/

The screen shows ''Weak Signal'' and no picture, even though audio is coming through from both the Cable DVR box and Blue-Ray player. The cable box connects to the TV with an HMI cable - all five TV inputs...
Mine did the same thing once. I think all I did was hit the setup on the remote, and let it run back through all the channels and then it worked just fine.
