After replacing battery watch should be reset! Short the 2 contacts that are next to each other on the board, using a metal object. This is very safe!!!. Now you can set watch.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not set the date or time between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m. to avoid damage to your Geneva watch. The gears sit too close together during these times.
  • If your Geneva watch becomes wet, wipe it dry as soon as possible. Keep your watch away from saunas and hot tubs, as the extreme heat diminishes the watch's water resistance.

How do I set the time?

Hi Charles,

I presume you're referring to a chronometer watch?

You need to twist the crown (little screw on the right side of the piece) counter clockwise until it slightly pops out. This is position 1. You need to pull the crown outward gently until you feel a lug sensation. This is position 2. Turn the crown to adjust the 'date' until you reach yesterday's date (one date before what you actually want). Then pull the crown outward again feeling that lug sensation. This is position 3. Turn the crown so the minute-hand swings in the normal movement of time (don't swing it backwards). Keep doing this until the 'date' turns to the current date. Now your piece is set on the correct date and the minute-hand is in the "a.m." Now keep turning the crown until you've reach the current time (noting the am/pm period you want). Push the crown inward to Position 2, then to Position 1. Turn the crown while in Position 1 to wind the spring. How many times depends on your brand, mine is 35-40 turns. Once I am done, push in the crown and turn simultaneously to lock it down. It will stop when it is seated properly.

Good luck.

The date is advance by one day its a perpetual calendar timex watch

Hi isengard03,

Setting the day on your Timex analog watch is a simple process. Please follow the steps below.

Multi-Function Models

1. Pull the crown on the side of the watch case all the way out. This will be position "C," with position "A" having the crown pushed all the way in and position "B" being pulled out halfway.

2. Turn the crown clockwise until the correct day appears on the small face displaying the day.

3. Press the crown all the way in, to position "A."

Chronograph Models

1. Pull out the crown on the side of the case to position "B." This is halfway out. You will feel a slight click when the crown is in position "B."

2. Turn the crown clockwise until the watch face shows the correct day.

3. Push the crown all the way into position "A" to complete the process.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Hello! I bought the Invicta 8939 Ladies watch with 200m water resistance. The manual says that for most Invicta watches, you need to unscrew it first when adjusting the date or time. Mine doesn't...

Most good dive watches with a screw in crown need the crown to be pushed in and turned clockwise AT THE SAME TIME in order to screw in the crown fully and make the watch watertight.

When you want to adjust the date or time, you just rotate the crown counter-clockwise until it pops out a bit. If you gently pull the crown out to the first position you can turn it to adjust the date. If you pull the crown out farther, to the second position, then you can turn it to adjust the time.

Never take your watch into the water unless the crown is fully screwed in finger tight or water will get into the watch movement compartment and ruin it.

Good luck, hope this helps.

Describe your Citizen Skyhawk Eco-Drive JR306059F Wrist Watch Problem: How to correct 0 position of 24 four hour hand. I think its done in conjunction with hour hand but how?

Here is how to correct the 0 Position for your watch.

While your the crown of your watch is down in the starting position , turn the crown until the mode hand (this is the circle at the bottom of the face) reaches CHR

At this time now pull out the crown until it clicks two times, two the second setting of the crown.

This will bring the watch to the 0 position correction function.
you can turn the crown clock wise to correct the hour hand.

press the a button to switch hand to second, or press again to switch to minute. Then use crown again to correct 0 position.

The hour and the 24 hour hand is in conjunction with each other.

then push down the crown all the way in and you should be all set.

New battery inserted.digital part of watch shows correct time.clockfave shows different time.also the 2 buttons on the side when pressed in do not come out again

First, take the back off the watch and make sure that the movement is inserted correctly. When buttons dont come back out it is usually the movement in the case wrong or the back is put back on wrong. If it is a pop off back then you want to be sure the dimples in the back are over the stem and crown and buttons so they move freely. Also, be sure that any springs that were in place are still in place.

Now i dont know what brand or model of watch this is but most digital analogs have a stem and crown to set the analog. Pull out the stem to the first position and set the time.

For specific instructions please leave the brand and model.
Thanks!

How do I set an " Elements" wrist watch

Most elements watches are analog and set by pulling the stem and crown out until it catches in the set position. You can then spin the crown until the watch is on the correct time.

If you do not have this type of watch please post the brand and model.
