When using quick scan, sometimes (couple times a week) when faxing to several numbers, one page will be faxed to the fax number for the second fax put into memory. We have multiple clients with various pricing and we require discretion of who gets to see certain pricing. I know that we are putting the correct numbers in for certain faxes, but the faxes are going to the next number stored in memory.

you need to clean the scan glass. If you lift up the cover where the faxes feed into the the machine and look towards the front where the faxes exit, you'll see a small strip of glass. This glass may be dirty or even have a smudge on it.ie: White-Out, toner, adhesive, etc. Just clean the glass with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol, let dry and you're problem should be fixed.
I dont know how we got disconnected but here is the instructions
Adjust the width of the document guides (1) to fit the actual size of the document. 2 Insert the document (up to 10 pages) FACE DOWN (2) until a single beep is heard and the unit grasps the document. L If the document guides are not adjusted to fit the document, re-adjust them. 3 If necessary, press {A} or {B} repeatedly to select the desired resolution. 4 Press {DIGITAL SP-PHONE}. 5 Dial the fax number. 6 When a fax tone is heard: Press {FAX/START}. When the other party answers your call: Ask them to press their start button. When the fax tone is heard, press {FAX/START
To redial the last number 1. Press {REDIAL/PAUSE}. 2. Press {SET}. L If the line is busy, the unit will automatically redial the number up to 2 times. L To cancel redialing, press {STOP}. To send more than 10 pages at a time Insert the first 10 pages of the document. Add the other pages (up to 10 at a time) before the last page feeds into the unit. Pre-dialing a fax number You can dial the fax number first before inserting the document. This is convenient if you need to refer to the document for the other party’s fax number. 1. Enter the fax number. 2. Insert the document. 3. Press {FAX/START}. Sending from memory (Quick scan feature) You can scan the document into memory before sending it. To use this feature, activate feature #34 (page 62). 1. Insert the document. 2. Enter the fax number. 3. Press {FAX/START}. L The document will be fed into the unit and scanned into memory. The unit will then transmit the data. If the document exceeds the memory capacity, transmission will be canceled and this feature will be turned OFF automatically. You must transmit the entire document manually. L This feature cannot be used if {DIGITAL SPPHONE}, {TALK} or {SP-PHONE} is pressed. To stop transmission Press {STOP}.
I have a brother intellifax 770 and I bought it used so their for I do not have the owners manual and I am having trouble setting it up and getting it to work. I can fax out but I just can't recieve faxes I can fax my daughter but when she faxes me she gets an error of 388 but she is able to fax and recieve faxes so we know her end is not the problem.
From manual: Insert document; press Scan & Fax button; dial number; press Start/Copy. All pages will be scanned, number will be dialed, and scan will be transmitted. If Memory Full displays, repeat procedure without using Scan & Fax button.
There are sensors in the document feeder that detect the width and length of the paper being copied or faxed. Try getting a can of compressed air and go nuts blowing all the dust out of the feeder, if you spray everything you can get to, you will probably blow clean the sensors. Just an educated guess.
Good luck,

yes, the solution is that you are direct sending the faxes instead of scanning into memory which will start and complete the scan of all the pages as it begins dialing and transmitting. there should be a key on the control panel for memory or memory transmission, select it and your done.
There are 2 methods of sending 1. Through memory, in which the machine scans the document then sends when all pages have been scanned. 2. In real time, in which the document is placed in the ready mode and the line monitor or handset is used to dial the number. In this case the document is not scanned until a response is heard from the other machine.
However, in the case of the memory being full, either of documents in the queue or if there are documents waiting to be printed (because of no toner or no paper) then the machine will not allow sending from memory.
THE DOCUMENT SENSOR OR THE DOCUMENT END SENSOR ARE EITHER BAD OR THE SENSOR LEVER IS STUCK OR BROKEN
CHECK THESE AND YR PROBLEM WILL BE RESOLVED
HAPPY FAXING
