Brand new and no power, does nothing

Just bought it, plugged it in to the computer, light came on like it was charging, unplugged, downloaded music, tried to use it and nothing happens will not turn on, tried plugging it back into computer and still nothing....whats up andybody know

    Same thing.

    No response from RCA.

    Has this product been recalled?

    i have the same exact problem it worked fine for one day. i went to urn it on and nothin it onlybworks when my usb is attached. mhats uo with that?

    i have used it a few times and now i cant get it to turn on period with or with out the usb port but it still can read the songs on my mp3. i have tried the reset button and nothing.

    it powers on if i plug in the usb half way, but doesn't power on under it's own charge.

Try pushing the reset button with a safety pin. Its on the back of the mp3.

There are two things that come to mind, the new battery is not holding a charge, or there is a problem with MP3 players circuitry. Remove the battery for 60 seconds and re-seat it back in place hopefully this will reset the processor ic, if this fails take it back because there is nothing more that can be done since the item is under warranty.

Laptop turns off as soon as power cord is removed. I was in the library last night and had it plugged in for awhile. When I went to leave I unplugged it from the wall and the whole computer just *******....
It appears that the battery is not charging. Simply reseat the battery, remove it and put it back, If its still not charging, you may try a another battery. If the other battery is still not charging, you may have to call your laptop manufacturer for motherboard replacement. Hope this will help you.

Gateway laptop will not charge battery.
I have a new gateway laptop with windows 7 and today it said plugged in not charging 8%. I tried everything and nothing worked so I turned it off and unplugged it and took the battery out and put it back in and it started charging...hopefully this works.

Sansa clip won't charge fully
If you have a phone charger with the same connector, plug in you Clip and leave it overnight. This will fully charge the battery. There is not enough power from the USB port.

2 problems with my coby mp3 player
I have the same problem just bought the thing yesterday and it won't charge I downloaded music yesterday and charged it, now it isn't recognized by the computer.

Went thru the whole troubleshooting chart and nothing happened, I did email techsupport but haven't heard anything. I guess I'll take the thing back and get it replaced.

Zen V Series mp3 player won't turn on.
Try pushing the reset button with a paper clip while the unit is plugged into the unit. This worked for me.
